360 vs PS3, No biased opinions plz Options

Lost Planet is at least better than the mediocre pile of overrated shit that is Gears of War.

And Halo 3 is much better than a lot of haters give it credit for (I'd easily say it's one of the best console fps game series next to Timesplitters)

Oblivion is a fucking HORRIBLE game, and is inferior to Morrowind in every single way, and it is why Fallout 3 is going to suck balls.


You've also neglected to mention titles like Ace Combat 6, Earth Defence Force 2017(BEST GAME ON THE 360, SCREW THAT, BEST GAME THIS ENTIRE GENERATION) Battle Fantasia, Beautiful Katamari, BioShock (admittedly it's getting ported soon, but it's still out on it and has been out on it for a very long time), Condemned, Forza 2 (why the fuck does no-one play this game, it's really really fucking good.), Ninja Gaiden II, and obviously the upcoming burst of jrpgs (Vesperia, Star Ocean 4, Infinite Undiscovery...) that're coming out later this year and early next, as well as more things like Fable 2.

And if you're listing Ikaruga, both Geometry Wars title, and Rez HD deserve mentions as well (especially the latter, that shit is incredible in surround sound + HD)

No no no. Irsya Gears is so much better then Halo 3. I'd like to know your insanity behind this un-validated opinion of yours.


And does anyone ever read my posts? I put fucking Bioshock up there! And don't ever mention Resistance in my presence again. It's just like Halo, except without an immersive universe or likeable characters.

Gears is fucking bland as hell. It has no weapon variety (and what little there is is useless because the Chainsaw rifle >>>>>>> Everything, and while we're bitching about the rifle, same animation for chainsawing EVERYTHING, even wretches who YOU CANNOT BE HITTING WITH THE CHAINSAW TILL OVER A SECOND INTO THE ANIMATION), and the single player campaign boils down to flat levels with random square blocks with different textures thrown at right angles all the way along it. The enemy AI is fucking horrible and doesn't understand the concept of flanking, and the friendly AI is horrible because it doesn't understand how to use cover and how to turtle. The game boils down to sitting in the exact same spot till the area is clear with SHOOT, COVER, SHOOT, COVER, SHOOT, COVER, SHOOT till the end of time. The only exception to this is the Berserker fights, and the HEY LOOK A TURRET WHERE'S THE FLANK PATH.


It lacks any sort of merit in it's graphical or artistic direction (Grey, grey, grey and more grey and everybody looks the same), the story isn't nearly as nearly as involving as Halo, and the music is cheap "Hollywood Orchestral" garbage (title screen music is literally the only thing I can remember)

The game for the most part is so overwhelmingly overblown with testosterone and "THIS IS SO FUCKING MATURE RAWR ISN'T IT AWESOME" to the point of absurdity.


(admittedly I have never touched Gears multiplayer, but I hated the single player too much to ever bother)

And whilst I'm not saying Resistance is anything special, it's still a game that most PS3 owners should probably check out.

I beat the game on hardcore first time then insane later. Haven't even touched casual mode.

The difference is negligible, the Locust just take more damage.

I admit the colors are bland especially after "After Dawn" the mine shaft is just so dark and annoying, the music does get repetitive

Not just Eternal Sonata. Also several other games such as Senko no Ronde, and so I could play certain games like Blue Dragon without waiting for localization. And hell, if I hadn't had a Japanese 360 I wouldn't have gotten to play Eternal Sonata, most likely, since it didn't come out in the US until after I'd moved out, and I didn't take my 360 with me initially.

This would be true, except you were doing pretty much the same thing every battle, plus all the enemies were fucking palette swapped. I met a palette swapped enemy two hours into the game. Seriously, it's like they didn't even fucking try.

Sometimes you can't base the entire game on a demo. I'm sure there has been games that have been put down because of the demo.
