Alright, basically the point of this thread is to post various builds you made up for various Pokemon. They don't have to be tested builds, they don't have to even be good builds, so long as they're builds. Anyways, alongside posting the build, I want you to post how the build works, what it would be used for and what it shouldn't be used for. You know, like what it counters and what it should avoid.

Format:

Pokemon Name
Ability
Move 1
Move 2
Move 3
Move 4
Item

The "How it works"

What it counters

What counters it/What it should avoid

I guess I'll start.

#091 Cloyster
Ability: Skill Link
Clamp
Icicle Spear
Spike Cannon
Sleep Talk
Item: Shell Bell

Basically, how this Cloyster would work is that you'd swap it in to fight any Pokemon that puts opponents to sleep, and uses Attack as their basic damage stat. You would have the Cloyster fall asleep, and would use Sleep Talk so that any of the other three moves would be used. Clamp would be used to prevent the opponent from swapping out once they realized what they got into, and Icicle Spear and Spike Cannon are the main damage dealers.

Now I know you may be thinking "Why Icicle Spear and Spike Cannon? Those attacks suck!" Well basically, Icicle Spear gives it STAB (so does Clamp, by the way) and Spike Cannon is just there. Both moves have low damage but hit 2-5 times. Cloyster's ability, Skill Link, makes it so that both of these abilities will ALWAYS hit five times, unless one of the attacks miss (which isn't likely.) It would regenerate health on each time one of the attacks connects, due to its Shell Bell. That could lead to a lot of healing.

You would generally use this Cloyster against Rhia's Crobat, or any other Pokemon that induces sleep and relies on Attack, like Breloom. But you'd especially use this against Rhia's Crobat, because it only has one actual damaging attack, and that's Pluck. Plus Icicle Spear would beat it out with super-effective STAB.

You wouldn't use this on anything that induces sleep and relies on Special Attack as its damage stat. Actually, you wouldn't even use this on anything that uses Special Attack regardless, because Cloyster's special attack is very blah.

You make Doublehawk cry over its ugly teeth. :( SO THEN:

Steelix
Ability: Sturdy
Curse
Flail
Gyro Ball
Earthquake or something more interesting
Item: Leftovers

Ideally, the Steelix would have extremely low Speed (and I mean low even for a Steelix) but really high Defense. Make sure its Attack and HP are decent, too. That's probably important. The idea is to use Curse a few times (two is a nice number), and then use Gyro Ball to just smash everything while you sit there invincible to everything that isn't Special. If you get low on HP by some crazy miracle (Counter would probably be the most likely thing to do that to you), use Flail until it gets recovered to decent health. I actually don't remember how strong Flail is, but I think I remember it hurting when low on HP. I just don't know when it would cease being more powerful than Gyro Ball. The fourth move should just be something useful. Like, I don't know. Maybe if someone sends out a Steel-type Pokemon. Because Gyro Ball and Flail aren't going to be that great against a Steel-type.

It basically counters anything that frequently uses physical attacks, especially if they're fast. But it's countered by CHANSEY WITH COUNTER and anything that uses special attacks, really. Slow things will be somewhat of a probem for it, as well, since Gyro Ball won't do as much. There I posted I hope you're happy Sauce. :(

BY THE WAY I THINK THAT IF ANYONE TRIES THESE OUT, THEY SHOULD SAY HOW WELL IT SEEMS TO WORK.

I don't know if I'll ever succeed in raising this, so, here:

Shuckle
Gluttony
Power Trick
Gastro Acid
Double Team or Substitute
Gyro Ball
Sitrus Berry

Basically, since Shuckle has ungodly high Defense (and SP DEF, but Defense is what matters here) and ridiculously low Speed; you max his defense and get the lowest speed possible, you use Substitute or Double Team so you can survive a few turns after using Power Trick which will give your Shuckle 500-600 ATK, then you use Gyro Ball against almost any pokemon.
Say an average speed of 250 for a pokemon, and you have 16 on Shuckle:
Gyro Ball Base Power = 25 * (250/16) = 390
Too bad it caps at 150, but 150 Base Power with 600 ATK is fucking deadly.
And if you're a baton passing bitch it gets even worse.

I actually have about half a dozen other painful setups for Shuckle. I should just fucking make one. :(

I actually thought about making a Shuckle that used Power Trick, but I didn't think about Gyro Ball. Admittably, I'd really like to try this now, but god damnit it's Shuckle. I hate using Shuckle.

Ninjask
Speed Boost
protect
substitute
fury cutter
Swords dance

A little gimmick I made up on the spot. It is completely impractical and takes INCREDIBLY long to set up. This is basically for people who want to see damage percentages on shoddy go upwards of a few hundred REALLY fast. It ONLY works with leftovers.
To use it, begin with protect. The next turn, use substitute. If the sub survives,(highly unlikely) swords dance. Repeat twice. After this will be the make or break point: can your Ninjask at 400% attack kill something with a 15 base power move? If so, keep killing with it as its power increases. The damage will skyrocket!
Alternatively, one can use X-scissor for consistent damage.

Another, actually competitive possibility, is to have X-scissor and only go through the buffing process once. With just one SD, a max attack Ninjask has more attack power than most max attack unbuffed sweepers.

I think I get this thing...

EDIT: Obviously, Feint, hazing and phazing counter both variations of this, as does anything that can resist the Bug type and has the sufficient defense to take a buffed attack.

I'll take WhiteKnight's idea a little further:

Ninjask:

Nature: Sassy

Speed Boost

X-Scissor

Aerial Ace

Sword Dance

Baton Pass

Focus Sash

Fist off: The sassy nature is for good speed. Add it account the Speed Boost effect, and thats one fast bug.

The main idea here is to make it a buffer. Use Sword Dance two times, three if possible. And if you still have decent health, try attacking with either Aerial Ace ( due to it never missing) or X-Scissor.

Focus Sash is to at least give to one sword dance before Baton Passing. I normally use my Ninjask before I use my Hitmonchan. I'd pass its 2-3 Sword Dances to him, then punch away :)

Crobat counters everything in this thread that was posted after Sauce's Cloyster.

SHAME ON YOU FOR NOT INFORMING EVERYONE OF THAT.

You guys are totally forgetting to post what counters the build. Well, just everything after the Shuckle.
