I loved GS, but you guys have to remember, that GS only seems as good as it did because it introduced so many things to the series:
-Several types (flying/dark/ice/steel/etc.) -Night and day -Cellphone (refighting trainers) -Radio (something that has yet to come back) -Swarms -Happiness -Evolutionary branches -Breeding -Battle tower (Crystal) -Tracking pokemon via the map -A split Special stat -Weather effects in battle -Pokerus etc. The only real reason for liking GS more than any other is that it featured the largest world, with sixteen badges total, and not only featured a story of it's own that actually permanently altered the geography of the world, but it expanded upon the story of a previous game. I don't want a remake of GS, what I want is a game with the same scope as it. I want multiple regions, an extended story with dozens of gym leaders, multiple Elite Fours (ala FR/LG), moves that exploit non-Attack stats such as Speed, Weight, Defense and such more often; perhaps even all moves being affected by stats such as those, I want far more weather effects including changing weather on the map (affected by region, but not to the point like in DP where it only rains in one spot, and all the time) which also affects pokemon that can be cought as well as changing the terrain to a point (say it rains for several days so a river near one city floods, making certain areas inaccessible without surf, but making a pokemon that likes the mud like say Dunsparce ridiculously common in the area, and say it was close to a town, thus causing a problem with Feraligators entering the town and attacking [see their pokedex flavour text], leading to sidequests). I want swarms to mean something more, like in my flooding example, or say with a swarming insect pokemon causing crop damage, spiking up prices for certain items, launching a side quest, etc. I want gyms to be more dangerous - I think there was a gym in one of the games in which you also had to dodge random battles on your way to the leader. There's so much more, I just can't keep going on and on about this if I ever want to play another pokemon game again.
