Yeah, but one would think he wouldn't bother to leave unless there was some brouhaha concerning some aspect of management or another that pissed him off enough to convince him to leave. It's not like anyone just wanders in and out of game companies all the time. If Sting can execute Itou's vision of Dept. Heaven in a manner satisfactory to him, he basically has no reason to leave with the exception of said management brouhaha.

Unless you have a source from within Sting's interior management I doubt you would know any more than I.

I would also imagine that if there was such a problem, Itou or a representative would release a statement of his intentions and a percentage of the fandom would kick up a fuss in shock. I've seen neither statement nor fuss, so I don't think this is the case.

We never hear about these things until the decision is made, so neither you nor I will know something's up until Itou splits on Sting.

So in other words, this discussion has come to an impasse and neither of us is any the wiser for it. I'm just curious as to why you sound so absolutely certain that Itou will leave Sting altogether. One would think that if he's stuck around for three games, he will probably stick around for the rest.

No, I'll wait until you make a website to compete with the new Department Heaven fansite.

I'm not certain he'll leave. I don't even have an inkling. Where did you get that idea?

I got that idea from quotes like

QUOTE(Dr Sturm @ May 8 2008 07:45 AM) *

We never hear about these things until the decision is made, so neither you nor I will know something's up until Itou splits on Sting.

and

QUOTE(Dr Sturm @ May 7 2008, 06:19 PM) *

Two things:
1: There is a difference in emphasis between covering Sting games and covering Dept. Heaven games.
2: Dept. Heaven games are Sting games for now.

As well as you constantly bringing up the subject/question of Itou leaving Sting.

But that's just me.

I only asked because so far his replies concerning the subject are phrased so as to suggest Itou's leaving Sting is inevitable rather than merely possible.

There's no clear subjunctive tense in English.

Quite fantastically, actually. I've only been working on one thing, and very little (that will change once my sister is no longer able to distract me with video games), but it's nearly complete, and works very well.
