I learned in English class today that a girl who used to be a semi-close friend of mine is now housebound with bone cancer.

It's creepy and I'm really worried about her. I know there's not much I can do to help, but I can't help feeling badly about it... especially because once cancer gets into your bones, it's hard to get rid of. We have no idea now if what she has is treatable or terminal, and it's... kind of scary that she got it this young...

I really wish that there was something I could do besides write letters of support and send her things to try to keep her spirits up...

Things like that are regrettable.

Keep in mind, the more you try tiptoeing in front of her, the mroe she'll sense that you're treating her nice because of her illness, and that'll only make her feel worse. Treat her normally and as you treat everyone else. People afflicted with abnormal diseases will be much livelier if they are treated normally.

Ash is right. You should treat her just as you would normally. THough you should send letters and that stuff. And you have to hope that she gets better.

extend my condolences.

but anyways, what Ash says is right. but try to help her out as much as you can. oh yeah, try jokes. laughter is the best medicine!!

like er.........

"fart" D:

fart jokes are usually the best, but she might not be that kind of person....or you, for that matter :\

BUT, OUT OF THE TOPIC!!! just make her happy, though its not as easy as it sounds ._.
