Well, I would find it pretty hard to live knowing that I let someone else die, but I would also be angry that this person would do such a thing, so I would tell him to shoot himself.

Try being realistic, White and lilcases. It's not going to be that easy.

I'd choose myself, because I'm selfish and if the person I love most died I would spend a great deal of time crying over it. Especially since I'd also feel guilty about it.

Maybe it wouldn't be possible to stop the gunman. In fact, it probably wouldn't be. But trying to stop him is better than trusting either you or your most loved one's life to the word of someone who's threatening to kill you anyway.

I have four 'most loved ones'. Whether I gave my life or theirs depends on which one it is.

It's better for me to die because if my loved ones died, it would be painful anyway for me to live without her... it is also the sign of my love for them.

But still, if I got a chance, I would grab the gun from his hand and shot as his manhood. That should teach him to respect his life and others.....except without his 'gun'.

You're not suppose to respond to a hypothetic in a why that defies the parameters. The question is designed to set your mind to the absolute limit, the edge of what you would do in a life or death situation.

It could just as easily have been a robo shark holding a quantum mega death beam to your face, but whatever.

It's interesting to see that everyone has said they'd choose themselves to die. There are significant pros and cons to both sides, but people seem to be ignoring that for the kind of melodrama moral justice we've all been instilled with.

I'd probably pick myself too. =/

But not to be good or anything, just so everyone won't be mean to me when they find out.
