Everything. I never liked using Gyarados, and Platinum only made me really hate him. Pastoria's gym leader had one and played it like a total fag, and Cyrus has one that's only harder.

No whoever you are, it's annoying because you either A) have to use Pokemon you don't like using, B) have to be really overleveled, or C) have to be really lucky.

It's not that they're a decent challenge, it's that it's a stupidly retarded hard challenge.

SAUCE IS EVEN A HIGHER LEVEL THAN ME.

AND I GOT RAPED BY EVERY POKEMON HE HAD, ESPECIALLY HOUNDOOM BUT ONLY BECAUSE HE WAS THE FIRST TO BE SENT OUT. Couldn't beat it until I gave my Golduck a Choice Specs.

I'm only using pokemon I like using. Magmar wasn't among them originally but I've come to like him a lot, actually. So maybe this should actually be "forced to experiment with different pokemon" which is always a good thing.

I'm massively under leveled. The max level of any of my pokemon is 45, min is 32, and Cyrus' lowest was MAYBE 45?

No, I wasn't. Despite what you said above, the quick claw RARELY activated on my Gyrados and I had to rely on a constant stream of Revives and Hyper Potions.
At least to beat Houndoom. After him the battle is cake.

I think I was pretty under leveled, too. It took me two tries to beat him because I got unlucky with critical hits and such. But I liked my team and I don't remember the battle being insanely hard or anything. He certainly wasn't as hard as Cynthia was for me.

But then again it's been a while so I don't remember the Cyrus battle very well. >>

Cyrus was easy for me. I used my Infernate for everyone exept his Gyarados.

I used my Jolteon for him.
