Abusing EVs?

Hmm, lemme see...
Typhlosion Jolteon Umbreon Salamence Larvitar/Tyranitar Dragonite among others... Like, Rhiannon, first I look at their appearance, then I get one of each type for the team (which lasts until the end of the game). Until the team isn't fully built, I just use fillers until it does. My teams usually are:
The main one is always 5 levels higher than the others, in case something bad happens (not likely). [Edit:] The new pokemon look promising, though I didn't picture Lucario as a Fight/Steel type when I saw the movie...he looked Psychic to me.
