What do you think of the series? I think the games are fun, but sometimes I think that Hideo Kojima just goes so far out there that I think he's lost his mind. As long as he makes good games, I could care less what kindof hair-brained stories he comes up with.
I just picked up Snake Eater today. (Don't care about multiplayer modes and crap in subsistance) The food thing is annoying, but everything else is pretty enjoyable. I've been a long-time MG fan, all the way back from Metal Gear on the NES. (I've also played Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake on the MSX, not to be confused for SNAKES REVENGE, to which my shameful parents got me for christmas back in the day). Thoughts? ~~~ "Wheels within wheels..."

Hideo should make movies instead of games.

I agree. The controls can be a pain at times, but the music, FMVs and Story are all top notch.
Is there anyone else here who absoloutely hated playing as Raiden/Jack in 2? I'd've much preffered Snake, even though he did get a Mullet in that game. xD ~~~ [13:27:43] [Sabator] peter would be the worst batman ever though. Movement in general felt.... weird somehow. You seemed to be gliding instead of running/walking.
Then the way you switch items and weapons, and how you use them. I would often forget that I had cigarrettes equipped, until I got into a firefight and realized my health was next to zero. I don't see how that implies I suck at the game.

You DO need to get used to them. I don't know how many times I tried to snap a guard's neck, only to watch in horror as he's simply thrown....
And it only takes a second for TS guards to call for backup ;_; ~~~ "Wheels within wheels..."

I never got that far. I don't know if it was being Raiden or the Shell, but I couldn't stand it. I've rolled a few guards instead of killing them, so I said screw it, and ran through a door and hid in a nearby locker. This post has been edited by blues 3: Feb 21 2006, 11:29 PM ~~~  |
