I'd think it would take more creativity to write something with less or no canonical support then to write something that isn't.

To come up with something interesting that maintains the rules set forth by a story is far more creative than to simply take characters from it and throw them into a wild, random orgy.

Durant is nice to her because she is the princess and he's the royal knight, isn't he?
Though I've seen Japanese sites that support that pairing.

And you can try all you want, but names don't get to me...

Heck, that even happens in anime...(like Tsubasa Chronicle)...except for the orgy part.

I have to agree...a fanfic set within the rules of the story can make more sense.
But bending the laws a bit sometimes can be fun/interesting, fanfics can't be taken that seriously, they're "What if..." stories, like a parallel world or something.

There's nothing wrong in being open-minded, or seeing things from another point of view...I do it all the time.

I agree with FlameSpark and Suzu, but you know. Sturm only likes to reread games and anime in fanfic form, and he's so closedminded that he's never, never going to admit that other possibilities work. If you want proof of that, just look at the 50 million arguments we've had on the topic.

And Durant/Yggdra is... not my favorite pairing, but it's cute.
