There was actually a lot left to uncover about them.
It's obvious they were royalty but are they, like, Yggdra's twin sisters (making them tripplets) or older sisters(first born) of Yggdra?
There's also the possibility of them being cousins to Yggdra...

Most likely they were either banished because Fantasinian society, like many medieval ones in the real world, hates and fears the "unnatural" similarity of identical twins (See books such as The Lady Ilena for more information on that--I personally think this is unlikely because Fantasinians are more than happy to make use of Mind Change, which depicts a pair of heavenly twins), or they were illegitimate children of Yggdra's father, King Ordene, who were supposed to have been disposed of when a legitimate heir was born.

All we really know is that they were banished and raised in Bronquia, more likely than not with Gulcasa's family, from their attitude towards him and the things they say in BF44.

@Suzu and WhiteKnight: Note that I am not going to even try to save you when Gulcasa comes after you. You'll just have to deal with him yourselves.

He does make sure the one holding the Gran Centurio kills as many beings as possible. He wouldn't have created the mess with the Undines if he didn't thought Yggdra would go seek their help. Same with the Ankhs.

And people can be stupid for believing him. He told the Undines that human blood could create an immortality potion or something like that. So, what would people do if they heard from a wandering magician that twins would bring disaster to the kingdom?

It seems as though he did that stuff, though, so that Embellia and Verlaine would both be too distracted with their own problems to interfere in the war between Bronquia and Fantasinia, so Yggdra would have to fight the war herself, thereby powering up the Gran Centurio.

Please do not stick this whole thing on Nessiah. I have my blowtorch ready. *nods judiciously*
