That sounds like an assumption. I can't think of anything in-game to show:
a. He's dense.
b. He's not interested

He just seems oblivious to me. But that could be that I'm just following the stereotypical mindset of most main male characters in video games.

Without Milanor, Yggdra would have mostly nothing. With Milanor, Yggdra has everything except for that castle. I wouldn't call that the "short straw." :(

Gulcasa/Yggdra (Yes I'm weird, yes it's total fanon, but they can relate to each other and everything, so it's not really that farfetched...)
Gulcasa/Nessiah (While not my OTP, it would be cute.)
Milanor/Kylier (He's really thick sometimes, but he does care about her. And they're cute together.)
Russell/Flone (They're too sweet a couple to break up for some other pairing. :< I almost regret it. Russell's hot, and he's the best marriage material of the cast. Guess that's why he got snapped up so quickly. But I digress...)
