What items should I use early on in the game, if any? Options

Hello all, first post. ^_^

After some deliberation, I decided to restart my game because I missed out on a whole bunch of items, but now I am wondering which items to use...I don't want to use up any of the really good items (Kill Blade, Gungnir, Zantetsu) until later in the game - what are some items that aren't really important?

BTW, if you keep the Elemina Mint until later, is it used up in a certain scene?

None of the items enemies drop are used for any trading.
And yes, the Elemina Mint is used up in that scene.

Sturm is right, use whatever weapons the enemies drop to power up your characters in the beginning BFs of the game. Majority of the other items are used for trade or need to be equipped on a certain BF; there's too many to name so just be careful not to use too many of them. If you play the game right, you won't need to use too many of them for morale recovery. And as you seem to know, KEEP the Mint, unless you already have the scene, the Mint is better then the Fairy Bell.
