So, any FFTA players here? And what's your clan like? Any good tips to share like my favourite of making Marche, Montblanc and the other human all thieves as soon as you can?

Tip. Don't make Marche a mage of any sort. He sucks at that.
I agree, yet so many of the alleged gurus (lol) at gamefaqs say his best combination is Paladin-Blue Mage... *sigh* I think Marche should be always Paladin-Fighter with the double sword ninja skill. Having thief skills on Marche and Montblanc until about 3/4 through the main story seems so obvious, I don't know why more of those alleged gurus don't do that...

Fighter skills are dumb for Paladin.
What exactly do you need from Fighter that Hunter can't give?
Fighter: - Far Fist - Air Render - Rush. - Beatdown/Blitz. - Backdraft (60 power) - Wild Swing - Air Blast (35 power)
Hunter's Sonic Boom owns Wild Swing. It owns Far Fist at 35 Weapon Attack. It owns Air Render at 45 WAtk, and even earlier with its range. It owns Air Blast even worse than Far Fist.
Beatdown is bad. Blitz is useless when you have Concentrate.
Backdraft MAY be strong, but its range is horrible compared to Sonic Boom and it hurts you. Not to mention that using a weapon with more than 60 power means Backdraft is obsolete. Rush's best use is to knock someone out of melee Reaction Range, while Sonic Boom never puts you IN the melee Reaction Range.

You don't raise a fighter for his techs, a fighter's power lies in his naturally high attack power/defense so that you can demolish anything with normal attacks. You give the fighter Strikeback and the like and nobody can touch you unless it's with magic.

You don't raise a human as a Fighter. You raise it as a Ninja for its speed and MP so you can Ultima fast and Ultima hard.
Ninja is one point weaker in ATK and DEF, which isn't a lot, but one point greater in Speed, which IS a lot considering that the highest speed growth is less than one-third the highest ATK growth.
And Strikeback doesn't work for anything out of your range.
Hmmm... let's see... been a while since I picked up FFTA, but I've got... like... three assassins right now (including Ritz; she has every skill for every job, because I spoil her).
