Most of the fanstuff on this site is mine, remember.

I've used textures on icons before, but everyone has always whined that they're not visible enough. When I finally do get the textures visible and in an aesthetically satisfying way, then you guys start whining about how you can't see the image.

Well, really, you like Malice's icons just fine, and the images are even HARDER to see on hers.

I'll make icons my way, whether you have any particular respect for that or not. I don't just blindly follow somebody else's example so as to have an image that comes out exactly like theirs.

If you have no respect for originality, fine. I should've expected as much here.

But don't yap about how "ugly" my submissions are when it's pretty much only me and P.P.A. making submissions.

BTW, fansprites actually are meant to be taken--at least on that site. (And how in the world did you not remember the sprites, when so many of you kept saying how cute they were in the JP Riviera art topic??)

Did the person that made the fansprites LET you take them? I can't read japanese, so I can't say anything about that. And letting you take them should only be for looking at, or getting ideas from, probably not to make icons with them.

And Feral, don't get upset about this. Textures arn't for over abusage. I usually don't use textures. And how long do yuo take to make those icons? One minute? 10 minutes?

Don't be a bitch just because we don't readily jump on the circle jerk bandwagon. Nobody was insulting your icons (aside fro Sturm, and that was just barely - one out of a handful), we were all telling you that there was something wrong with one and how you could've maybe improved. If you can't take any opinions other than the ones you like, then you might as well get the hell off the internet, because it is RIFE with people who won't always see things your way.

Don't be arrogant just because you have control over the icontest and can judge other people's work, and suddenly expect saintly treatment from us because you have a somewhat successful thing going on; remember that without Sturm, you wouldn't even have a place to submit all those 'wonderful, original' icons to, and the most you'd be doing is using them on a no-name board as your avatar, nor would you even have that icontest going on.

We're not always going to be "oh my that is so sweet I'd print it out and put it on my wall if it weren't 100 x 100 pixels," so I'd suggest you get over it and actually take some of our criticisms to heart. We're not trying to ruin your 'works of art.'

I rather like them Feral, but really, negative Criticism is better than positive, as it helps you get better.
