Linux is pretty stable and secure.. and the idea of being able to change -anything- in the kernel, GUI, etc appeals to quite a few people.

Windows has more security holes in it than a bank after nuclear war.

For one thing, autoplay is set on by default. Which means that when you pop in a Sony music CD, it can automatically infest your computer without asking permission (actually, it does ask permission, but does it even if you say no).

Yeah I have to admit, Windows does have its security holes --; But my computer is 6 years old, no anti-virus software and it's still running perfectly fine o.O; My friend has anti-virus software and he gets a virus in like 3 weeks of getting his new computer --;
