It all started when I used my RU team in UU because I hate the UU team I made. It went way better than it does even in RU. So I next tried it in OU and worked well. Then I decided to try it in Ubers for kicks and giggles, and the giggles were so great. PPA GOT IN ON IT TOO AFTER MY FIRST FIGHT AND ALSO HAD GREAT FUN HERE ARE OUR EPIC REPLAYS.

I also have no idea how fast/strong any of these Ubers Pokeymanz are supposed to be because I do not bother looking at their stats very often. Also my Hitmonlee had the wrong item for at least one of these. Supposed to be a Red Card. :( NOW WE WAIT FOR PPA'S

THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA RHIA. Playing in Ubers turned out to be very fun, since if you lose, it's often against overwhelming odds. Taking that into account, instead of fearing defeat and disappointment, I rather enjoy putting up a good fight—and am all the more proud if I actually win.

I am surprised by how slow many of these Ubers are, though. My Starmie and Choice Scarfed Gardevoir have no trouble outspeeding most of them.

At this point I decided that Kingler was of no use, and borrowed Rhia's Quagsire build instead, changing only its ability. I also traded Starmie's and Weezing's Thunderbolt for Thunder, and Gardevoir's Energy Ball for Grass Knight, both to better deal with Kyogre. Thunder on Weezing proved just too unreliable though, so I later changed that back.

Also, quick note on one of the teams that shows up here (NOT THAT YOU NEED IT YOU ALL KNOW THE STORY): after doing a bunch of OU fights with my normal team I got really annoyed because literally none of the fights were ever fun because OU is a bunch of horrible people, I made a new team. A team of cute Pokemon who stood no chance, plus Umbreon because I'm pretty sure Swagger+Foul Play makes people mad. Then it was good.

I FELT LIKE POKEMONS SO I MADE A NEW TEAM GUYZ. PORYGON2/KECLEON RAI-INSPIRED, SWAGSIRE/DITTO BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION BY ASAPH I BELIEVE. CHANDELURE BECAUSE CHANDELURE AND PARASECT BECAUSE PARAS WAS AWESOME IN MY OLD OU TEAM AND PPA SEEMS TO BE MAKING PARASECT WORK IN NORMAL TEAMS. Also there's a lot because this team is shenanigans.

At this point I decided I wanted to make a different team and try to avoid using Pokemon I'd used a lot as of then-recently, like Quagsire and Whimsicott. Quagsire gets replaced by Gastrodon, Rotom gets replaced by Jellicent, and Mienshao gets replaced by Mega Medicham. Whimsicott returns because of Manaphy existing in UU, and Ditto is too clutch to pass up. Also I really fucking love Chatot at this point.

So while all this was going on, the IRC channel was abuzz with theorycraft to handle all the UU threats. I don't remember who brought it up (might have been me actually), but I mentioned that Mantine gets Mirror Coat and thus can serve as a check to Manaphy. RHIA WAS EXCITED, ASAPH WAS PROBABLY MAD. I put it aside then. THE NEXT DAY I DECIDED TO TRY IT OUT. THUS ENTERS TEAM VERSION 3.

I HAVE BEEN EXPERIMENTING WITH NEW TEAMS AND POKÉMON, AND A FEW NEW FAVOURITES HAVE EMERGED: LOPUNNY IS INCREDIBLY FUN AND CAN MESS WITH PEOPLE IN HILARIOUS WAYS, AND OFFENSIVE SCOLIPEDE IS A FANTASTIC SWEEPER SINCE NOBODY EXPECTS IT TO STAY IN AND ATTACK INSTEAD OF BATON PASSING OUT.
ALSO WEEZING HAS BECOME EVEN MORE USEFUL THIS GEN WITH SO MANY BULKY PHYSICAL ATTACKERS AROUND. CLEFABLE HOWEVER HAS BEEN HURT BY ITS TYPE CHANGE. THE GAINED RESISTANCES DON'T MAKE UP FOR BEING WEAK TO STEEL, SINCE I WAS USING IT TO SURPRISE FLAMETHROWER THINGS LIKE FERROTHORN OR SCIZOR BEFORE, WHO CAN NOW OHKO IT. STALL TEAMS ALSO LESS COMMON NOW SO MAGIC GUARD HAS BECOME LESS USEFUL.

This was the match after which I fell in love (figuratively) with Lopunny. The enemy broke through the core of my team, even 2HKOed Weezing, which shocked me, and left me with just Lopunny and Sylveon—and I won! Admittedly, he made a few nonsensical mistakes (like Sucker Punching Sylveon and Lopunny), but I'm still very pleased with how this battle went. (Also I had forgotten to give Cinccino any EVs or nature.)

THE COMBINATION OF A SOLID DEFENSIVE CORE IN WEEZING + ANY BULKEON AND LOPUNNY'S SHENANIGANS TO ROB THE OPPONENT OF THEIR MOMENTUM, AND A SETUP SWEEPER LIKE SCOLIPEDE OR MAWILE TO EXPLOIT THESE WINDOWS OF OPPORTUNITY WORKS VERY WELL. HOWEVER I STRUGGLE AGAINST POWERFUL ELECTRIC SPECIAL ATTACKS, AND SHOULD CONSIDER INCLUDING A GROUND TYPE ON MY TEAM. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Sometimes I think I make very bad choices that have a big impact. I thought I did with Drifblim. But then this guy ended up being another person who somehow manages to inflict a status effect on Kecleon at the worst time and I wasn't expecting it when I chose to use Facade and I don't think anyone could have predicted that I would use Facade either. I can't defend him for spamming Hypnosis on a poisoned Pokemon, though. That's all on him.
