QUOTE
But if you have enough resources on your computer and then some to spare, it shouldn't be a problem, right?

Not for people who, for whatever reason, find it offensive. I can't be the only one.

AND I GUESS WE'RE COOL THEN ASAPH

Rhia, that makes no sense. Using resources is neither offensive as damaging nor offensive as suggestive content-wise.

I really didn't understand GIMP's interface the first time I used it, probably because I was already accustomed to Photoshop.

Just based on the interface alone, which was some time ago, I favor Photoshop over GIMP.

I didn't understand Photoshop's interface when I first tried it - and I still don't.
GIMP was pretty intuitive.

I got PS free with my computer so... ^^;

But it's 2.0, and I don't plan on buying another version. Though I've only tried GIMP a few times and I didn't really understand it.

Maybe I'll download it today just to see if I can work with it.. =/

This is offtopic but where is the always on top feature for the tool windows in GIMP? Could not find this anywhere, not even the help files.

Also if Photoshop was $50 dollars or something it might be able to compete w/ GIMP but Photoshop elements (The least-full-featured, lowest cost photoshop there is) costs $100. Photoshop CS3 is $700 (!). Not sure what the difference in features is, though, but at $700 it doesn't matter.

Also, an idiot like me can use GIMP. I downloaded it last night and was able to, in a couple of hours, make an animated GIF image of Milanor's charge attack. I have never before used an image program. Those interested can see this thread for more info and the image link.

Google "gimp always on top". If you're going to work with advanced software, it's useful to learn how to learn how to work it.
