Ok, This fanfic has No spoilers (unless you count knowing that castle paultina was attacked) It takes place during the initial attack on Castle Paultina by Bronquia. Very short, but very intriguing!
The Swordsman It was a massacre. The Fantanisians were quickly being pushed back to the centre of Castle Paltina. The remnants of the Royal army were weak and exhausted, and morale was at its lowest. Every few minutes a soldier screamed out in pain as his life ended with a blow of a scythe. Emperor Gulcasa’s descisive offensive had decimated the royal army. The Elite guards, the protector of the Royal family, were charged with seeing to it that the last living member of the royal family, Princess Yggdra Yuril Artwaltz, made it out of the capital alive. The leader of the elite guards, Makar Rallem, was a person who was kind to all others in peacetime, but fought like a demon in war. His twin blades sliced through the imperial knights, and he knew that he must cut down as many as possible. His unit continued their struggle to keep the Bronquian forces away from Princess Yggdra and her protectors. His unit had been cut down to 3 men, but they still fought on, knowing every second his unit delayed the Bonquian advance meant one more second the princess could use to put distance between her and the ravaged capital. The last man in Makar’s unit fell, and now only Makar stood in the Bronquian army’s way. He looked back desperately, hoping to see another unit arriving to assist him, but he only saw one person, fleeing the castle on horseback. It was a girl with long blond hair, and with her she carried a sword. Makar turned to the enemy, his vision clouded, his body weak and battered. He let out a cry as he leapt into the enemy masses with blades swinging. ~~~ "People who quote themselves have low self-esteem"

Nice short fic...I kinda imagined one like that, but it was before Yggdra Union came out...so when I played the game I saw it wouldn't fit, bcause in the beginning Yggdra says she never held a sword before (lol)
But yeah, nice fic :D Twin swords rule~ ~~~  |
