Planning for map for YU-WC3.

Level cap of 20.

Each unit has four skills:
Passive: Lowers damage, gives (increases?) MP regeneration. Turns on and off like immolation, without a startup cost. Cancels "Active".
Active: Increases damage, uses up MP each second. Turns on and off like immolation, without a startup cost. Cancels "Passive".
Item: Makes an item. Item made depends on unit and level of skill. Long cooldown.
Troops: Calls 6/3 smaller copies of the unit, depending on the size.
Ultimate: Basically the Card skill associated with the unit. Learns at level 6 , 13, and 20.

Item:
- Generated items are considered artifacts, which means a unit can't carry more than one at a time.
- Artifacts are basically the YU items.
- All items are consumable for HP. If possible, change the amount of HP gained depending on the unit and the item.
- For example, Nietzche will make items that boost Blizzard damage, and raise her stats and her troops' stats (basically damage, armor, spell damage reduction, and... critical/block rate?)
- Artifacts have a chance to drop when one dies.

Troops:
- Calls 5/2 units of the same type as the unit summoning. Stats will depend on either skill level or the unit itself (we must pick one).
- Nessiah will summon random units.
- Medium cooldown.
- Summoning more units will overwrite old units.

Card Skills:
- Card skills use 100 MP.
- Most skills only affect troops (i.e. summoned units).
Valkyrie: Revolution - If no troops, then kill the troops of the selected hero.
Fencer: Banish? Banshee's Cry? Starts with Item Break, or make it a level 20 skill? Maybe a level 10 skill?
Bandit: Rockfall/Dragon Killer - if Dragonkiller, then changes damage type to the weakness of Gulcasa and Durant.
Gryphon Rider: Gravity Chaos?
Knight: Chariot
Undine: Blizzard/Diamond Dust
Witch: Doll Craft - Permasummons a big golem which can Call Troops two smaller golems. (permasummons = no expiration time). Long cooldown.
Necromancer: Necro Gate- Permasummons a skeleton which can Call Troops 5 smaller Skeletons.
Hunter: Thunderbolt - Implemented as Forked Lightning?
Assassin: Bloody Claw - Kills a hero. Only usable at night.
Golem: Earthquake - ?
Skeleton: Poison Breath - ?
Yggdra: Jihad - automatically learn at level 20. If she has no troops, kill the hero and its troops.
Milanor: Steal - knows at level 1. Steals opponent's artifact.
Gulcasa: Genocide - learns automatically at level 20. Kills all of his troops and increases his attack speed by 100 for each unit sacrificed. Can't call troops while in Genocide. (perhaps cancelled by calling troops?)
Nessiah: Reincarnation - ?
Durant: Not originally a skill, but at level 20 auto-learns the ability to ride on a dragon for a short time, for no MP cost. Changes damage type to whatever Gulcasa's is.

One day will be twice as long as the cooldown for Bloody Claw, to prevent it from being used twice a day.

Units:
- Undine will be ranged spears, so that they can attack from the puddles.

Cards:
- Cards will be implemented as non-artifact unique items (can't be stolen or broken, but drops on defeat).
- Cards do not recover morale.

Wait a second... Gordon is missing from the list.

As for tech... Errr... Darn, I can't remember what card he used when neutral... Was it Ace Guard?

We opted to leave non-permamembers out of the list.

No, Rai just decided for some reason to leave Gordon out, and I couldn't remember his card, so I didn't list him.

He insists that we include Kylier, though.

Of course. Gotta have Kylier. Major character right there. More important than some who permanently join.

I was thinking Cruz, actually. Of course she isn't anywhere near as important as Yggdra.

World Editor works for me, but I have no idea about those other things. Mostly because I've never heard about them. HEY RAI YOU HAVE TO ANSWER MORE QUESTIONS

Chariot: Charge through (like in DotA) and damages.

Apparently World Editor can do just about anything a hacked editor can. Though it might be more complicated.

Re: Rhia's list:
There are still a few questions that need to be answered, in italics and underlined.

I'll call a skill that can be learned after some levels "ultimate" and skills that are learned automatically "special"

Yggdra: Revolution, Crusade.
- Only works with no troops.
- Revolution is Ultimate for Valkyries.
- Crusade is auto-learned at level 20, special to Yggdra.
- How should Crusade's instant-kill be implemented? It's possible to kill all of the units of one team, by the way.

Milanor: Steal.
- Steal at level... 10? 1?
- What are the chances of it working? 100% because it takes the same MP as a killing attack?
- What is Milanor's ultimate?

Durant: Ace Guard and/or Chariot.
- Probably Chariot. Plan: Charges through enemies, like with Tiny in DotA or one of those people in Moo Moo. How would this work? Straight damage? Or try to kill a number of units from one hero so that they reduce to whatever number Durant has?
- Learns to ride a dragon for no cost at level 20. Can toggle.
- What is his skill as a Dragon Rider?

Nietzsche: Diamond Dust/Blizzard.
Cruz: Thunderbolt.
Kylier: Gravity Chaos.

Roswell: Necro Gate.
- Only usable at night.
Rosary: Doll Craft.
- Will their level depend on the caster's level?

Russell: Item Break.
- Item Break will probably be autolearned several levels higher than Milanor, or even equal to his.
- What else can he get as Ultimate?
Elena: Bloody Claw.
- Only works at night.

Gulcasa: Genocide.
- Genocide is his Special. What is his ultimate?
- Increases attack speed by X% for each troop killed. Will be balanced for duration and X.
Eudy: Flame.
Baldus: Ace Guard.
- How the heck will Ace Guard be implemented?
Leon: Chariot.
Zilva: Bloody Claw.
Aegina: Revolution.
Emilia: Gravity Chaos.
Nessiah: Reincarnation.
- Level 20 special? Or just Ultimate, with set levels for the troops summoned? I think it can be an Ultimate. Does he heal when he summons?
- Summons random troops while still on the field, unlike others who can only summon in a "base".
Mizer: Thunderbolt.
Dort: Sandstorm.

Mardym: Poison Breath.
Juvelon: Medusa Eye.
Amareus: Medusa Eye.
- Someone tell me who the heck these guys are.

Inzaghi: Banshee's Cry.
Ishiene: Diamond Dust/Blizzard.
Emelone: Diamond Dust/Blizzard.
Ortega: Mirage.
- Huh? How would this work?

Pamela: Fortune.
- Makes an area have her INT added to their damage?
Monica: Sanctuary.
Canaan: Banish.

QUOTE(Raij|Away @ Dec 3 2007, 06:52 PM) *

- How should Crusade's instant-kill be implemented?

Have it deal more damage than the highest HP max we're allowing in the map?

QUOTE

Milanor: Steal.
- Steal at level... 10? 1?
- What are the chances of it working? 100% because it takes the same MP as a killing attack?
- What is Milanor's ultimate?

You have Steal at the beginning of YU, so I don't see why it can't be a level 1 Special. 100% chance of success because it always worked in YU (as far as my knowledge goes, anyways), and I'm not sure on the ultimate. Maybe that rock throw card. This is just a guess; I really have no idea for Milanor's ult.

QUOTE

Durant: Ace Guard and/or Chariot.
- Probably Chariot. Plan: Charges through enemies, like with Tiny in DotA or one of those people in Moo Moo. How would this work? Straight damage? Or try to kill a number of units from one hero so that they reduce to whatever number Durant has?
- Learns to ride a dragon for no cost at level 20. Can toggle.
- What is his skill as a Dragon Rider?

I like the straight damage idea more than the set number one, mostly because I didn't like how Chariot worked. As for the Dragon Rider skill, we may have to do that after YUPSP comes out, because there's only one scythe skill we know of, and that's Genocide.

QUOTE

Rosary: Doll Craft.
- Will their level depend on the caster's level?

Um, can someone check if the golem's levels in YU are dependant on Rosary's?

QUOTE
Russell: Item Break.
- Item Break will probably be autolearned several levels higher than Milanor, or even equal to his.
- What else can he get as Ultimate?

No idea here, although I'd like to somehow make a reference to the fact that he's the Astral Fencer or whatever his title was when he is on Gulcasa's side.

QUOTE

Baldus: Ace Guard.
- How the heck will Ace Guard be implemented?

Give him Shield Barrier instead, because Ace Guard's pretty impossible to implement. Shield Barrier can give divine armor or whatever it is that makes you invulnerable.

QUOTE

Nessiah: Reincarnation.
- Level 20 special? Or just Ultimate, with set levels for the troops summoned? I think it can be an Ultimate. Does he heal when he summons?

Requires input from someone else; I never got this far.

QUOTE

Mardym: Poison Breath.
Juvelon: Medusa Eye.
Amareus: Medusa Eye.
- Someone tell me who the heck these guys are.

Random people in BFs 31-32.

QUOTE

Ortega: Mirage.
- Huh? How would this work?

Wind Walk, perhaps?

SUMMARIZATION OF IRC CHAT:

Dragon Generals will have ultimates (specials maybe? Did we decide?) based on their title.
RUSSELL THE ASTRAL FENCER: Astral Barrage/Rain (We can't decide). It'll be like Starfall, or something.
EMILIA THE SCARLET PRINCESS: Question mark.
NESSIAH THE QUESTION MARK: QUESTION MARK II.
BALDUS THE GOD OF WAR: QUESTION MARK.
LEON THE BLACK KNIGHT: QUESTION MARK.

Mizer has a shoe store. It sells shoes, including Warp Shoes which gives you Blink. Actually, we decided that a long time ago, but never posted it.

Reincarnation will summon an amount of troops based on the levels you learn it. It'll be half the learn level. Right now, we're thinking level 6, 12, and 18.

Marietta will be some sort of optional boss who will be very very strong. Your reward for defeating her is a three-use Angelic Thunder card with Ace All. Angelic Thunder kills every unit on the opposing side, including all of the heroes. Crusade only kills one hero and that hero's troops. Also, Angelic Thunder is really really flashy.

I think we decided to include Gordon with Banish (HEY SHUT UP I KNOW IT'S WRONG WHEN IT COMES TO ACE). And Flunky with Steal and something.

Card skills that are dropped will generally be one-use. You can only use them if the user's ace matches, and stuff.

Kiss of Death, Fortune, and Dragon Killer will be pickup cards. I guess they'll be three-use like Angelic Thunder, too. Just so they seem less useless.

Pamela is neutral. You can recruit her, or you can not recruit her. RAI SAID SOMETHING LIKE, THERE'LL BE THREE BUILDINGS FOR CHOOSING, ONE SIDE CAN ONLY CHOOSE FROM ITS OWN SIDE AND NEUTRAL.

BALDUS THE GOD OF WAR: QUESTION MARK.
LEON THE BLACK KNIGHT: QUESTION MARK.

I thought up both of these last night as I was trying to sleep, but I'm thinking that Baldus can have some teamwide weaker version of Shield Barrier (since we're giving him Shield Barrier instead of Ace Guard), and Leon can have some spearthrow move. This move would only be targetted on heroes, but enemies between Leon and the opponent's hero can get hit via piercing attack.

Original idea for Leon was to have him throw his spear for an instakill move, but that seems kind of overpowered.
