Only 2.5 people on LCN watch tokusatsu things so I thought we had a huge need for a topic. Talk about anything tokusatsu here, especially if you're too lazy to make a new topic about a specific thing. Until real discussion happens, here is a nice list of good things about some things that I have seen/am seeing. In case you were kind of interested in maybe watching a thing, and all that. Some things being Garo and Kamen Rider only because screw Super Sentai and I haven't really watched other things.
Garo (first season)

• Horror-y
• Great music
• Really cool fight scenes
• Some unique ideas/designs for monsters
• Super stylish
• CG/special effects are terrible but it usually makes a good effort to hide that fact. Usually.
• Many breasts
• Enemies are basically like scam artist monsters, which is beautiful
• Female main character is extremely poor and spends a lot of time thinking about falling for said scams
• There are, like, movies to watch after its 25 episodes. Byakuya no Maju and
Red Requiem. You can also watch Red Requiem without actually watching the series at all, I guess. Vahn did it without problems, anyway.
• If 25 episodes and the movies was not enough, Makai Senki is a direct sequel. Yaay.
Also, I interested PPA in the series (except he never watched it) by talking while watching one of the episodes. Garo does have a thing for random fish episodes, but this one was very special, so I prepared the logs of me talking about it for you!

Garo: Makai Senki (second season)

What did I tell you about crepes? HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT BEFORE YOU LISTEN
• Direct continuation of first season, so a bunch of characters return
• Also most things that were true of the first series are also true here, except the effects aren't terrible and some are even really cool because it is still a super stylish show
• It has an episode that's basically 20 minutes dedicated to a French guy having an awesome swordfight with a samurai from samuraitimes
• I don't know what else to tell you, man. 25 episodes, none of which you should probably watch unless you watched the first series, Byakuya no Maju, aaand Red Requiem
And if you still wanted more, don't worry! There isn't a third season that focuses on these characters, but you can always watch the next movie, Soukoku no Maryuu, which is an hour and a half or whatever of this:
Garo: Yami wo Terasu Mono

• Same world, different cast, different time period, different staff
• Still has breasts, but has more random pointless sex scenes instead, complete with foot-licking
• Fight scenes usually not cool anymore.
• Not very stylish at all.
• Comes up with some neato and very cool ideas and proceeds to never use them again, or pull things from its ass to undo them without even coming up with a good explanation. Nobody wanted those cool ideas anyway, right?
• The only good thing the show never puts on a bus is this one really cool lady who gets mindcontrolled into eating this guy she likes after sleeping with him
• I don't think you should watch this.
Zero: Black Blood

• A Garo miniseries/movie for people who liked Zero from the first two serieseses
• Kind of boring. Watch if you're into the French guy or just wanna watch alll the Garo
Garo: Makai no Hana

I have no picture for you but I have decided to link an episode which happens to start off with many glorious instances of awful pickup lines/similar events:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtysT_hOaAo&t=1m55s• Garo's back to being its best, meaning everything is stylish and good and the effects looking terrible is uncommon like in Makai Senki, except it has more of a focus on creative episodic things like in the first series.
• There's an episode that spends all of its time referencing horror movies and it is beautiful
• There's an episode where the monster of the week makes manga reality and with Garo's stylishness it is perfect
• Main character is the son of the first season's main character, and a small handful of characters from previous things return, but it's not sooo related that there's any reason you can't watch this immediately, or perhaps 25 minutes ago.
There was no second season. :(

Kamen Rider Faiz/555

What a guy.
• Starts out with people dying and fifty million car accidents happening. Basically ends the same way.
• Starts out ridiculous in a bunch of good ways. Ends up just as ridiculous, but in bad ways.
• The main character is a homeless bum who supposedly has pants with very bright colors but we never get to see these pants. He becomes less homeless when he gets a job doing people's laundry, and then he spends most of his time yelling at customers to do their own stupid laundry.

Being a Kamen Rider and having your motorcycle identified like this :(• I don't know, it's a Kamen Rider where someone's face gets torn off. And then eaten. That's sort of important, right?
• Stop watching when Kusaka shows up because holy crap how is he actually a permanent and real protagonist I've never seen a bigger asshole in anything ever. The whole thing becomes a mess of random twists and stupid around there anyway.
Kamen Rider W

I didn't have many pictures from W so that's all you get.
• Silly, but also very good at being serious when it decides it wants to be
• The special effects are terrible don't look at them. Then again, they're hilariously bad in a silly show... maybe this is okay.
• Main character spends all his time pretending to be the main character of some noir story.
• Kamen Rider W is a neat concept. Different halves with different abilities making different combinations. Stops fights from being too repetitive, if nothing else.
• Girl tells a police officer, "You've arrested my heart!"
• Santa's in it!
• I think it is a good Kamen Rider to be your first Kamen Rider. It worked well for me, anyway.
