Haha. Weeks after the Xbox360 has been released, and admist all it's problems, Microsoft claims that it could not be modified in any way. It has been, I repeat, it has been ALREADY hacked, it's filesystems and BIOS cracked open with very little difficulty. Expect modchips to arrive within the next few months. Thoughts?

Mod chips don't really pique my interest. And I'm certain Sony saiid the PSP is unhackable, but every firmware upgrade is released alongside a new firmware downgrade.
However, according to 1up, a lot of the complaints about the 360 were sponsored by Sony to hype up the PS3. Don't know if it's true or not, but oh well.

I've seen alot of the 360's problems personally. My friend has one, and it eats his CDs if it's even an inch off-kilter, or not in a specific position, and crashes half the time anyway.

True, but the 360 is now said to not have been really tested before initial release.. it has more money costing problems than the PS2 had, that's for sure. Because it costs people money is probably why it's getting more attention.

my ps2 had no problem by the time i got it, soo, what the heck.

the PSP already has been hacked and in fact, pirated games are even being made. theres even no need of a disc sometimes, so i hear.

but consoles having problems were not unheard of or even rare in any case. it was pretty much expected.

Heh, I go to the psp boards on gamefaqs, and I see people whining about games coming out that they can't play because they won't update from 1.50. 1.50 is easily hacked and allows some sort of software I saw on the net (forgot the link, sorry) play loads of emulation games and "homebrew" games on it. I remember it costing about $35.
