I defintely understand admiration or connection to fictional characters, but I don't believe in fanboy worship of them. I suppose I'm a bit of a reality whore.

Of course not, but I don't think that Deathstroke is the most epic sexy mastermind ever. I could only think that about someone I've spoken to. I have limits for my respect of characters.

Well, Riviera focuses on the main characters, mostly.
Yggdra Union focuses on the enemies mostly. There a ton of enemy characters - about three times as many as player characters. Some are more developed than others. Just count the number of appearances and you get an idea of who is more important in the story.
Knights focuses on the enemy almost exclusively. Most of the cutscenes have neither Maria nor the King in them (the main characters). The Knights (from the title) have a lot of scenes, but for some reason their stories are not very memorable.
Falsch. Maria and the King appear in at least half of them; the flashbacks they rarely appear in, but at least the King is in a cutscene before almost every battle.

IIRC. Feral, MewMewArrow, and Desu (maybe) were pretty big Nessiah fangirls. Personally, I don't really understand character fanboy/girlism. They're just drawings.
That being said, Kylier is pretty hot.
I am too thanks to Feral! >:
