Planning for map for YU-WC3.
Level cap of 20.
Each unit has four skills: Passive: Lowers damage, gives (increases?) MP regeneration. Turns on and off like immolation, without a startup cost. Cancels "Active". Active: Increases damage, uses up MP each second. Turns on and off like immolation, without a startup cost. Cancels "Passive". Item: Makes an item. Item made depends on unit and level of skill. Long cooldown. Troops: Calls 6/3 smaller copies of the unit, depending on the size. Ultimate: Basically the Card skill associated with the unit. Learns at level 6 , 13, and 20.
Item: - Generated items are considered artifacts, which means a unit can't carry more than one at a time. - Artifacts are basically the YU items. - All items are consumable for HP. If possible, change the amount of HP gained depending on the unit and the item. - For example, Nietzche will make items that boost Blizzard damage, and raise her stats and her troops' stats (basically damage, armor, spell damage reduction, and... critical/block rate?) - Artifacts have a chance to drop when one dies.
Troops: - Calls 5/2 units of the same type as the unit summoning. Stats will depend on either skill level or the unit itself (we must pick one). - Nessiah will summon random units. - Medium cooldown. - Summoning more units will overwrite old units.
Card Skills: - Card skills use 100 MP. - Most skills only affect troops (i.e. summoned units). Valkyrie: Revolution - If no troops, then kill the troops of the selected hero. Fencer: Banish? Banshee's Cry? Starts with Item Break, or make it a level 20 skill? Maybe a level 10 skill? Bandit: Rockfall/Dragon Killer - if Dragonkiller, then changes damage type to the weakness of Gulcasa and Durant. Gryphon Rider: Gravity Chaos? Knight: Chariot Undine: Blizzard/Diamond Dust Witch: Doll Craft - Permasummons a big golem which can Call Troops two smaller golems. (permasummons = no expiration time). Long cooldown. Necromancer: Necro Gate- Permasummons a skeleton which can Call Troops 5 smaller Skeletons. Hunter: Thunderbolt - Implemented as Forked Lightning? Assassin: Bloody Claw - Kills a hero. Only usable at night. Golem: Earthquake - ? Skeleton: Poison Breath - ? Yggdra: Jihad - automatically learn at level 20. If she has no troops, kill the hero and its troops. Milanor: Steal - knows at level 1. Steals opponent's artifact. Gulcasa: Genocide - learns automatically at level 20. Kills all of his troops and increases his attack speed by 100 for each unit sacrificed. Can't call troops while in Genocide. (perhaps cancelled by calling troops?) Nessiah: Reincarnation - ? Durant: Not originally a skill, but at level 20 auto-learns the ability to ride on a dragon for a short time, for no MP cost. Changes damage type to whatever Gulcasa's is.
One day will be twice as long as the cooldown for Bloody Claw, to prevent it from being used twice a day.
Units: - Undine will be ranged spears, so that they can attack from the puddles.
Cards: - Cards will be implemented as non-artifact unique items (can't be stolen or broken, but drops on defeat). - Cards do not recover morale.

QUOTE(Sauce XIV @ Dec 3 2007, 10:57 PM) QUOTE(Raij|Away @ Dec 3 2007, 06:52 PM) - How should Crusade's instant-kill be implemented?
Have it deal more damage than the highest HP max we're allowing in the map? I mean, should we just kill all of one person's units? QUOTE(Sauce) QUOTE Milanor: Steal. - Steal at level... 10? 1? - What are the chances of it working? 100% because it takes the same MP as a killing attack? - What is Milanor's ultimate?
You have Steal at the beginning of YU, so I don't see why it can't be a level 1 Special. 100% chance of success because it always worked in YU (as far as my knowledge goes, anyways) Tec>=Gen, then it works. QUOTE(Sauce) QUOTE Ortega: Mirage. - Huh? How would this work? Wind Walk, perhaps? That makes no sense at all. This post has been edited by Raijinili: Dec 23 2007, 03:12 AM

Yggdra: Paltina. Milanor: Paltina. Durant: Paltina. Nietzsche: Paltina. Cruz: Paltina. Kylier: Paltina. Flunky: Paltina. Gordon: Paltina? Russell: Paltina.
Gulcasa: Bronquia. Leon: Bronquia. Baldus: Bronquia. Aegina: Bronquia. Emilia: Bronquia. Eudy: Bronquia. Zilva: Bronquia. Inzaghi: Bronquia. He can be moved to neutral if we need him to, since he's a mercenary.
Rosary: Neutral. Roswell: Neutral. Mizer: Neutral. Emelone: Neutral. Ishiene: Neutral. Juvelon: Neutral. Dort: Neutral. Ortega: Neutral. Mardym: Neutral. Amareus: Neutral. Pamela: Neutral. Nessiah: Neutral. We could move him to Bronquia, too, though. Elena: She probably should be neutral. We could put her anywhere, though.
Monica and Canaan would probably be in Bronquia, but... We have 32 people with them, so I thought that we might want to get rid of them. Them, or get rid of two of these: Ishiene, Amareus, Ortega. Just because they're not very important. Ortega's probably the most important of those three, though.
We have too many filthy neutrals. Let's make some decisions.

Yuka: Do I have permission to doublepost this Rhia? Rhiannon: YS Rhiannon: I MEAN Rhiannon: YES
Update on the Dragon General-specific skills: We finally figured out how Russell's attack was going to work.
Astral Cannon - Upon using this move, Russell gains an effect (aura?) which turns off his hitbox collision, allows him to run through everything, temporary speed boosts (think Item Break when I say this, as it launches him forward.), and leaves a trail behind him upon which starfall-like projectiles fall on. This is probably going to be a set-time effect (the effect, not the trail) where the player can move Russell around, creating various trails that Starfall falls upon. The trail will last longer than the effect.
This skill will obviously have to be balanced a TON, but I really want this to be one of the more broken moves in the game because it adds a whole new element to this: Getting behind the enemies and cutting off their escape path with Starfall-laden walls.
Edit: One more thing regarding the speed boosts, we're thinking the boost in Russell's speed should make him really fast but also really unwieldy (Rhia says FASTER THAN A HUNTRESS!).
Edit #2: We've figured out how Baldus's is going to work too, and possibly have a small modification for Leon's as well.
Thor's Fury(Name is subject to change) - Grants Baldus the Avatar status. How much of a boost he gets is undetermined because I lack set values for Baldus at each level. Will have to be modified later. Since it's Thor, this move also gives Baldus electric properties. What kind of properties will also be decided later.
Catastrophic/Cataclysmic/Something Cooler Lance - Leon throws his spear out at a targetted hero. The hero is instantly killed, and all units near the target, both friend and foe because Leon's a jerk, are damaged. How much damage the splash does and the radius of the splash will have to be balanced later.
Edit #3: Oh yeah, Baldus and Leon are going to be an incredible duo in combat, because Baldus's Avatar will make it so the opponents have to team up on him, and Leon's special can damage more than one unit.
Edit #4: While trying to think of what Emilia's character-unique skill would be, we decided on a few other things: We're going to be doing character-unique skills for all the characters in the game, we already have Kylier's skill thought out, and we figured out how Genocide for Gulcasa is going to work.
Genocide - Gulcasa kills all units around him, regardless of them being friend or foe(subject to change), and has all the units' attack power added to his own, as well as granting him an attack speed boost. In the event of no units being around Gulcasa, Gulcasa gains no attack power bonus but still gains the attack speed boost. This is probably going to have a time limit since at this point I don't think we're going for clashes anymore but rather a full-on war (like DotA).
Last Hope - Kylier sacrifices her own life to kill an opposing hero. This move operates in much the same way as Leon's Cataclysmic Lance or whatever we decide to name it, with a few notable differences: Last Hope is melee range, meaning Kylier must be right next to the opponent, and the splash damage and radius are far, far higher because Kylier kills herself to use this move.
Oh yeah, Rai: Do you think Death in Exchange for Hope can be used as a skill name? Because if it can, we want to use that instead of Last Hope for Kylier's skill, because of the significance it has to YU's storyline.
