There are three special moves in chess. 1) Castle - If the there are no pieces between a king and either rook, and both have not moved yet, the king moves two spaces towards the rook and the rook moves to the space opposite the king. 2) En Passat - If a pawn is on rank 5 (four ranks ahead of the king) a pawn moving two spaces forward (i.e. E2-E4) on the left or right can be captured by the regular diagonal capture move. 3) Promotion - If you move a pawn onto rank 8, you can trade the pawn for a different piece (except king), placed on the same square the pawn was. ---------------- If ever you're winning in online chess, people disconnect on you. This is problem with any online game, really.
