I'm looking into buying a 360, but I wanna know if I should just buy a PS3 instead

PS3 is a better media player. You can swap out the HDD drive for one you buy yourself and the PS3 software makes it easy to play videos and MP3s. XBOX 360 is a better game player because it has more games and a better online service.
