IPs are only supposed to be given out on a need-to-know basis. A random person wouldn't (ideally) have your IP - but your point is way moot either way, as people can look up your phone number in the phone book, or online.

You do know that peoples' phone numbers can't be printed without their permission. My home number in the US is not in the phone book. |
