I thought I might give a progress update for the game, since those guys are still alive:

Hi everyone!

First of all, everyone at Studio Archcraft would like to apologize for the long, long delays in answering mails, posting news on the site, and being present on the forums. The last few months have been pretty insane for all of us, and getting regular news out unfortunately became nearly impossible to do.

But the game is not dead. It's not even close to being dead. Admittedly, Q1 2007 for completion was a little too optimistic - but the emphasis is on "little". The game is nearing completion, and it looks and plays as great as we could have hoped.

So, when will the game come out?

I won't announce dates at this point. We don't want to pull a Duke Nuk'em Forever and keep announcing deadlines that we can't meet. Instead, I'll try to get a status update page online on the website. You'll know how much stuff is done, how much is left to do, and you'll be able to track our progress. I'll also try (emphasis on "try", as it's still insanely hectic around here) to keep posting on the forums and to answer questions.

I'll also try to get a few new screenshots out - stuff that couldn't have been put on the website beforehand, because it wasn't in the game yet. No promises on this, as we don't want to reveal too much. But I figure I can probably show off at least one boss monster or something. And I'll get to the mountain of emails someday - promise.

Well there you have it. If Scurge: Hive was any indication of how long this could take, well then looks like we got another year on our hands.
