Um, yeah. I'm still on my first playthough, so i'm pretty much wondering if you still get the extra contents even if you waste the item that unlocks it. I wasted magic mirror to up rosary's morale in a battle field.(pardon me if i'm still inexperienced)

As is said in the spoiler question thread, you can use all items; they will be unlocked as soon as you pick up the item/view the scene/whatever.
