Man. This battlefield is evil.

Is it possible to take Baldus's item and the Muddy Dud without losing any units? Also, at what point do the characters decide to retreat? I can't seem to trigger that scene without losing a ton of morale and a unit or two.

Just send Milanor with Steal: Get the Mars Shield AND 4 Medals*, you also get a heavy morale hit for Milanor (near half his moral, and a LOT of exp) and the 10 defeats you need for the retreat to start the next phase of the mission, avoid the cannon. Note that, if you send Yggdra with Crusade you will get a 2 wins and 8 defeats AND the first cannon blast

For BF-36 I left the Union in a way that Rosary will fight the 4th Knight in the Enemy Union: You need Durant in the bridge above the lowest Knight -The one with the 'Magic fances' around- so when Rosary fights him and summons the Golem, it will appear OVER THE FENCE giving Durant a way out that nightmere and the other characters can now retreat to the back squares avoiding the figth (if you have a bit of luck, they will attack the Golem in their turn). Durant is now free to attack the Valkiryes and that lone Knight by the other closed door. You get a high Morale Damage, but you survive.

(*) The medals will regen in BF-36 for you to Steal them again:
1 - Send Milanor at night.
2 - Let a Knight attack you alone.
3 - ??????
4 - PROFIT!
If you lost the battles with only ONE enemy Knight still standing you get very little Morale damage => you only use ONE Medal to reover and THREE Medals of PROFIT!
