I put two versions in one option because there isn´t a difference between Red and Blue or Gold and Silver (...) except the pokémon you can catch.

Emerald.
You can get rid of Pikachu in Yellow by either putting him in a box, or trading him away. Once you tade him away, you can never have a pikachu follow you around again. |
