I just got my internet up and running but now I'm having problems putting applications (they ARE applications, right?) on my mac. The version of AIM I was DL'ing is a binary file and Bitcomit is just in .exe format...what should I use in order to get them operating on my computer? I hope these don't qualify as stupid questions. *Goes to skim manual.

First, you need to download the Mac versions of programs. Bitcomet is, if I recall correctly, and your mentioning of it being an .exe makes me a bit more certain, Windows only.
When you do happen to get a Mac application, it will either come in some form of zip file, or in a DMG file. For DMGs, just double click, and it will mount. Open the mounted DMG, and drag any necessary files (USUALLY just the DMG) to your applications folder. Usually. Sometimes the application included is an installer.
