The only way YOU would extend the plot, Feral, is by reviving Ledah.
And Hades was not a story gap, he had to do with the Accursed. You people seem to forget the Accursed ARE part of the story. They are (at least what you assume at first) is the reason Riviera is threatened with the Retribution, and even without the Retribution at hand, they are a huge threat to Riviera.
