You use Roswell. When it hits night time, you go to where Baldus's army is and occupy a spot which is open. Then, you lay hell to whatever you can. I managed to get lucky because on my opening attack against their Archer, I got a critical hit which took him out straight away. Once you are able to remove a few more units, you can then union another unit to take out Baldus before the fog comes in. This is possible because on Baldus's turn, he does not attack AT ALL. Otherwise, I would have never survived against an onslaught like that. I also managed to get his item and the next time you see him, at battlefield 17, he doesn't have it anymore. Making him a little pussy cat :D
