... I looked at this post, and it gave me a funny look back. So, I deleted the son of a bitch.
Ok, seriously, I just didn't like the writing in the post.
I don't like portraying myself as someone that's really bitter. I kept the Bhagsu Cafe incident though.
This also leads me to another funny (to me) incident that happened about a month and a half ago. A little more than two months ago, I moved to Dharamsala, India. In my third week at Dharamsala, a friend named Rinchen* took me to Bhagsu, a small town that has a swimming pool. I personally don't like swimming (I hate water), but apparently, many people in the area disagree. So, we sit down at a small outdoor cafe. Rinchen goes off somewhere, and I just sit there drinking tea.
Pretty soon, two Indian families come, together, to the cafe to eat lunch. The children of the two families seem to be very interested in the westerner sitting alone drinking tea. Especially the boys.
Within 5 minutes, one of the boys comes to me and says, in pretty decent English, "My friend finds you very attractive, and is wondering if you will kiss him."
Now, while I do look in the mirror obsessively, I've never expected to have a guy hit on me. Or rather, have one of his friends hit on me for him. My answer was, "no thanks".
So, he goes back to his table (about 6 inches away...), and the boys start arguing. They're speaking in a foreign language, and once in a while slipping into English to call each other crazy.
By now, Rinchen has come back, and we just sit drinking tea some more. Then, the boys' mother asks if she can take some pictures of me with the boys. I look to Rinchen and he shrugs, so I accept.
Hot damn, Indian boys like to grope. In about three seconds, I had arms around my waist, and a hand on my ass. I'm a nice girl though, so I let them. Their mother takes a couple pictures, and they let me go.
One thing I have to admire about them though, is their brotherly love! The oldest one didn't hog my ass all for himself, he let the other two have a go as well!
Oh wait, it gets even funnier. Both families get up to leave about ten minutes after the picture-taking session. They're walking away, when suddenly the older boy comes back, and kisses me. Twice. After they notice a lack of slapping, the other boys follow suit quickly.
Indian boys are perverts.
And... I'm a guy.
*Ladies, Rinchen is HAWT. He's also in his final year at the Institute, so... if you want me to introduce you to him... :D

QUOTE (whoyodaddy @ May 16 2006, 01:34 PM) | uh wow, that was a nice story but, you are a dude that sees yourself as a girl or the other way around. if so wouldnt that make the indian dudes gay? not being prejudice or something i actually have 4 gay friends male and female alike......
also i haven't seen you around before, so welcome to the spam section. you'll see me and swifty and calvat alot. keep up the good posts this was a rather nice read. |
I dunno... I don't consider myself gay because I still like females, but there have been people who have had radically different opinions about me.
Look at it this way.
Since that incident, I've grown a bit. I now have the best of both worlds. If I ever decide I like guys, I don't have to find gay ones. The straight ones fall for me anyway. As long as I remain straight, I'm still found attractive by a few girls, if not many.
Besides, the girls I like are the more tomboy-ish kind. Think Serene. Who incidently, is the character that I look most like in Riviera.
QUOTE | I'm not going to comfort or encourage you. In fact, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm still groggy, so I don't even remember most of your story by this sentence.
Um... yeah.
Anyway... well, I basically implied I was going to say something, and I don't want it to be COMPLETELY stupid.
Hm...
Oh yeah. Intelligence is sometimes forged by hardship rather than innate. How was your intelligence measured?
Something to say...
*goes back up to read again*
Oh. I've never done well in school. I have a 1520/1600 SAT score and a 66/100 (65 passing) high school average. |
My intelligence was measured by my ability to win at anything I did. Basketball (I have no idea what intelligence had to do with that...), Chess, boardgames in general, video-games, logic problems, reading peoples' emotions based on their face, being able to "see" more than the others (not like psychic shit or anything, just being more observant), and the ability to think and adapt quickly. I could be the best at anything, all I needed was motivation. Considering all of us are Chinese, I have no clue why I was judged the intelligent one (Chinese people put a lot of emphasis on school but not on real intelligence: the ability to think).
I'm still considered to be highly intelligent. My ability to win hasn't left me.
Something else that's pretty funny to me...
When we were still children, I was the immature one. The one without any life goals. Now, I'm 15-years old, and live by myself (I don't pay for myself though). There's an ocean seperating me from all my relatives, from anyone I ever knew before.
In Dharamsala, I get people telling me how mature I am, asking if all the Western kids are like me. Here, I'm judged tall, good-looking, intelligent, and tough.
In America, I was judged to be a depressed loser last time I listened to society's opinion. That was about... what? Two years ago? Once I found myself, I never looked to others for help again.
Just goes to show how much people can change if they're pushed hard.
Oh, something else that's funny. At the Institute (I'm not actually studying there) which I have a solo-room at (a lot of the students share rooms), a lot of the guys there were trying to set me up with this Korean girl. The funny thing? I'm 15. She's 29 I think.
