This anime hits the spot.
It's basically about the life through the eyes of a high-school man named Kyon. He meets a very peculiar yet beautful female colleague, Haruhi Suzumiya, who's bent on the subject of aliens, espers, time travelers and the sort. Other characters include Mikuru Asahina, Yuki Nagato, Itsuki Koizumi, all who appears in the very first episode.           More information can be found here.
