Why the heck is the Maze of Shadows Hector's Castle, and why the heck was Seth sealed there?

I'm convinced that the seven Magi are stupid. :(

Maybe the seven magi are ordered to protect Seth until retribution so the Maze of Shadows belongs to them. Then Mr. Look-at-me-I'm-going-to-rule-you-all Hector just claimed it for himself...?

Or it was given to him as a present because he repelled the demon attack during Ragnarok somewhere near the Maze. But that doesn't explain why Seth is sealed there...

But the most likely reason is probably that it was around midnight when a half-sleeping storywriter wrote that without knowing what he does. >_>

The Maze of Shadows is located on Goriate, an island in Heaven's Gate that was Hector's fortress during Ragnarok, if you were paying attention.

And about Seth, my guess would be that it didn't really matter where she got unsealed, but rather that as long as Ursula still has enough power Hector can't awaken her in Riviera. If he tried to do it in Asgard, one of the other Magi might get in his way. Therefore, he returns to his old base, which is conveniently out of the way of both Ursula and his ex-colleagues.

You're missing the point.
Seth is sealed in the Maze of Shadows, which JUST SO HAPPENS, to be Hector's castle.
Why would they seal something so dangerous in such an area?
