Since it's definitely definitely related to Yggdra Union, and we don't have other Sting game forums yet, I decided to put this here. YZ is the code name for a game by Sting that's currently in development (for comparison, Yggdra Union's code name was YGG). Sting hasn't officially announced it on their site yet, but you can learn a lot about it and how far they are into making it on THE LEGENDARY DEVELOPER'S BLOG THAT WE KEEP TALKING ABOUT.

You can find all sorts of nice teasers there. So, go out and view every single page of that blog that isn't about YU or Malice or cats, and come back and speculate/comment/whatever.

Here's my comment: OMG YGGDRA OMG THE SONG FOR BATTLE 33 IS SO A CREEPY VERSION OF YGGDRA UNION.

I like that sample BGM up... Took me a few seconds to find it. Wonder what YZ will be when it's not a codename... Although in retrospect YGG could just be the first thing letters of YU... I doubt YZ would be the first 2 letters, or the 1st letters of 2 words... Unless you can think of anything.

EDIT:
Go Google translator for sloppy and odd sounding translations!

EDIT2:
There's mention of a heroine, so I imagine a main character or the main character will be a female again, but also mention of a prince. Again, Google is sloppy so it could be translating horribly...

By the way, that inference is pulled off by Zoktai, a term coined for discussion for Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django.

Sturm once reminded me that Japan likes "____ Zero." But it could also be the start of some Japanese word starting with Z.

Anyway, we already know that Yggdra's in it. Or at least someone who looks exactly like Yggdra, so it should be no surprise that there's a female hero.

Could possibly be a direct descendant of Yggdra, which could explain the stark similarities of the two and how this new person can weild the Gran Centurio.

Where is that mentioned or shown? <.<
Or is it inferred from that sprite on the sidebar with the girl who looks identical to Yggdra only wearing red instead of blue.

Could be a descendant, ancestor, or possibly even an alternate timeline... Or simply a re-make but the other three possibilities sound more fun.

Those are most likely just placeholders. Serene was a Valkyrie for Yggdra Union. Oh, and the sprite on the sidebar is just an early sprite of Yggdra that they ended up never using because apparently she DOESN'T look awesome in red.

As for Yggdra or Yggdra lookalike:
More art, maybe a CG.

Judging from those "placeholders" if they're for YZ, it looks to be more of a tactical game where you move along conquering territories or something...

The soundtrack so far sounds like it's going to be nice like YU... Still mystfied on the details though. If the images of characters from YU are placeholders, wonder why they used them... If I recall from the Gulcasa one mentions "Bronquia has the largest territory" and the highlighted territories seem to be the island where you-know-what is and a region near the White and Black Rose domains.

I don't have an answer. But it seems odd to use Gulcasa as a placeholder... When they mention his name and Bronquia for the caption. They also listed Yggdra and Milanor's names for their captions.
