Is it possible to take Baldus's item and the Muddy Dud without losing any units? Also, at what point do the characters decide to retreat? I can't seem to trigger that scene without losing a ton of morale and a unit or two.

The easiest way to take the least morale damage is to clash right away for a 5 on 5. You lose then there turn comes and they attack and you lose 5 again. You'll dodge the cannon.

Of course.

Alright, so I got by that without having anyone withdrawing...
But the next field, everyone seems screwed. There's no way I can get by without Yggdra's unit collasping, considering I just came back incredibly weakened from BF35.
What the heck can I do to keep Baldus from murd-elizing me?

Or do it the more complex way and stick Durant up for a turn, then have him move passed the units with his super powerz. Then have a unit you don't want die then have them pull back.

If you move him past the enemys there default is to attack the unit where there supposed to be. ( the little corner that gets cut off from the rest of the land )
You just have to make sure your unit either dosen't die on your turn or you have enough movment to move durant back in plus move all the units back out into saftey.
That's what I did. It's making it tougher then it's supposed to be but I wanted more exp for Durant.

Maybe I should take this through step by step. I must not be being clear.
Step 1: Do not attack and have durant infront. Step 2: Durant does enemy skermish and loses. but does not die. Step 3: Durant is moved using knight skill away from the main combat. Step 4: Another unit is moved into the slot Durant was moved from. ( Unit can not be Yggdra ) Step 5: That unit gets attacked and inevitably dies. Step 6: Another unit is placed infront and may die. Step 7: During Step 6 Durant is moved behind that unit to saftery. Step 8: That unit either dies or Milanor and Elena have reached there destination.
That is what I did, or what I remember to the rest of my abilities. So Durant got lots of exp from this for me :D

You put up a reply and said let a unit die, so I was simply adding that there is a way to have a unit get a load of exp and have one die. I didn't intend that I would need to post 3 times to discribe a simple situation.
So I posted to show that there was a more benificial way. Sorry.
