yes there is. but it leads to another era of dragonball. and that end usually leads to another.
in the manga, Majin Buu dies and Goku su...i mean. he gets an apprentice. then it leads to DB GT another whole new world of stupid-ness and ass combining. ~~~ <SIENNA> Dude

I tend to stay away from cash cow anime by nature, because DBZ ruined it all for me.
Usually they fill an episode with staring and flashbacks, nothing that actually advances a plotline. ~~~ "Wheels within wheels..."

I liked Dragonball, but it all sucked after Goku or whatever his name is (haven't watched it for a looong looooong time) grew up.

yeah. it was funny before he grew up. and it had quite a suitable amount of mashing :\
but after he grew up, it was all "oh i was beaten up again! i will now grow another level in super saiyan levels to beat him up!!" then this process repeats all over again. :\ ~~~ <SIENNA> Dude

Well it's gonna air in just a few months. According to THIS, it's been given a loose release date of the spring. It will be directed by Kiyotaka Isako, and the character design is by Akira Kano.
Isako had his hand in Comic Party, Maze, a few pokemon movies, and Virgin Fleet. Kano had his hands in Detective Conan: The Fourteenth Target, Digimon, Hoop Days, Initial D: Fourth Stage, Street Fighter 2 the series and the movie, the first Tenchi movie, and Urusei Yatsura: Always My Darling. EDIT: Oh I forgot something cool! The anime is going to be produced at Oriental Light and Magic, the same company that did the Berserk anime series and the Shin Angyo Onshi movie. ~~~ "Wheels within wheels..."
