In all honesty, they were Genderless, as Sturm says, but, their identity imaging means that, everyone VEIWS them as females. They still remain genderless, but its more respectful, not to mention easier to define them as females. Take Lorian from The Gaurdians of Time novel series. He used to be male, but became Genderless to prevent Bias in his decisions heading the Tribunal. However, everyone always refers to him as Lord Lorian, or sire, and his sister, The Godess of Chaos, always refers to him as Brother. As for the spirit thing, technically, spirits themselves are genderless, but whenever they take form, or create and image of themselves, it has to be viewed as a certain kind of gender. Ursula and Seth were viewed as feminine, so therefore they're imaging is feminine too. If they were veiwed as male by everyone, they'd be male. If they were veiwed as genderless, they'd be genderless.
Does anyone understand what I mean?
