It's such a weird feeling posting here and looking over topics and conversations knowing its dead, and (for the most part now) knowing most of the members. It's like, what keeps people coming for the occasional post? Why not post more often? I guess there is always the channel. And then I think about what it would be like for someone who's not part of LCN to come in and look over all these posts. We're basically ghosts to them, you know? Ghosts who sometimes pop in, have a snack and say hello.

I literally left the community and yet I still come to check this thread in particular. It's a good way to check up on things without actually walking back in just to check.

I come in here to check up on all these people I used to know. See how their lives are going.

Speaking of which, after a couple of months of growing self-loathing, I've hated myself to the point that I can write again. Happy days have returned forever!

Good news, everyone! This time I sliced my thumb open with my index finger by accident while staring at a shelf in a grocery store in Canada. I can't really explain what happened any better than that.

Canada?

Yes. You see, when I was a young lass who visited Canada all the time, they suddenly changed the laws about crossing the border so I couldn't do it anymore without a passport or ~special~ driver's license. When I tried to get a passport they demanded that I send them things that don't exist and have never existed because I'm too young to have any of those things, so I sent them a bunch of school IDs that did not fit what they were asking for and then they sent me a passport and then we drove six and a half hours to notCanada with our cats and then we went into Canada proper and it was all very nostalgic and there were church-going swarms of pelicans and also pelicans that were inexplicably huddling on a dock with almost no pelicans anywhere nearby said dock and then we were going to buy candy at the first store we saw and I sliced my thumb open then and then we went to a small lighthouse later and I was swarmed by a literal cloud of mosquitos (because at the moment I was a creature that bled for days on end without dying, with blood type O to boot!) which may have actually given me cellulitis (no joke) and then yesterday I absent-mindedly bit off the skin that I sliced open on my thumb even though it had actually merged back with the rest of my thumb.

I can try to be positive about these things but I have an angry lymph node between my groin and leg and right on the other side of my body is a giant red circular thing with a bunch of mosquito bites in the center that have been scratched open in my sleep. I don't know how you guys do the whole positive thing. People say there's "good luck" or whatever but I'm positive there is just "luck" and that means extraordinary/unusual things happen to you a lot, both good and bad. And I am one of the lucky ones.

P.S. Canadian chocolate is as disgusting as American chocolate.

I don't feel very well.

My body is not ready for what's to come. I've been struggling with aches for the past week. My bar binges have probably not contributed to a solution to this problem.

Anyway, headed to Summerset Music Festival this weekend, then before I even get home I'm headed out west for three weeks. If you plan to be in this general area during that time, maybe get in contact with me.
