PRAXIS I, Writing and Mathematics was today.

It went well.

EDIT: One part that I chuckled about was a question that had some number and it asked if it was divisible by 7. So I set up modulars for congruency to 7 based on how integers are written, and I found myself with the divisibility criteria for 7. After I did that, I look up to the algorithm I was supposed to use. It was the same thing (If a, b, c, d and e are each digit in a number in the 1s, 10s, 100s etc, then plug some value into a+3b+2c-d-3e to see if its divisible by 7 (10 is congruent to 3 mod 7, 100 is congruent to 2 mod 7, 1000 is congruent to -1 mod 7 and thats all thats necessary)).

Have you thought about which grade level you'll want to teach yet? Personally I think it'd be nice teaching at the college level, get tenure, and do whatever the fuck you want.

Like a boss

Such a thing requires a Phd, and right now I haven't felt very confident about my mathematical knowledge. Its like everyone else in the world is five steps ahead of me.

Still, been shooting for High School. But yes, being a college professor would be nice.

Teaching at the college level does NOT require a PhD, not even a Masters depending on your field and where you're teaching. University will require you to typically be at least a PhD candidate, but community colleges are often fine with Masters. Hell, my university Japanese teacher doesn't even have a Masters, but she's technically an adjunct, so she technically doesn't get anything BUT money...

I suppose you have a point with lower tier colleges, in fact i've already heard of those cases. I was just considering flat out University level.

I've focused on High School, but if I do feel like moving on, I probably will. Until then I need to make sure I understand my college material. I've been re-reading a lot of my old textbooks (mainly Number Theory and Calculus) because I feel like I missed something. I can't seem to just solve some Number Theory concepts easily when I feel like I should be able to. Same with Calculus concepts.

I'm going to get my uncle's old car, an 87' Ford Sierra. I still don't have a license, though, so I'm going to do the test this month or the next.
