1 can be a GCD.

Also, you can use the Euclidean Algorithm to prove that two consecutive integers have a common divisor of 1.

Also also, by the time I came back to this, I have no idea what you're claiming up there.

If 1 is the greatest common divisor and you're assuming there is a lower common divisor, then you have only consider 0 because these are integers (You cannot consider negative numbers and 1 is the only divisor that exists. If you want to disprove it, show a counterexample). So i'm claiming they can't divide into each other because the only number that they have in common is 1, which divides into everything, and the only time this doesn't hold true is when 1|2, but in order for you to pull that off you'd have to make k=0.5, and thats not an integer. So because of that, the greatest common divisor is one and the GCD of two consecutive nonnegative integers is 2k(2k+1). Is it a really strong concept? No. Its just something I considered and put into practice.

What else did you think I was claiming? Still, its nice to know that i'm heading in the direction of another concept, so thats good.

What? No, we don't assume that.

Just got back from watching "Devil".

I was suprised how good it was.

On a side note, I'm never smoking anything called "Berry Crush Cush" ever again. I felt like I was going in slow motion for 3 hours. Not a good feeling I've cme to find out.

If 1 is the greatest common divisor and you're assuming there is a lower common divisor
What? No, we don't assume that.

All I was doing was defining the fact that you cannot choose a lower common divisor for this proof, as there's nothing lower than one that could divide 2k and 2k+1, leading to the choice that they can't divide each other evenly regardless of the possible positive integers you can select. And I added my definition by pointing out that 1|2 can't exist in this definition because you have to use k=0.5, which isn't an integer. Please note that I also noted all positive integers in the end, also omitting 0, which would result in 0|1. I also added that there is possibly a better definition for this proof out there which also applies 1|2, but I have yet to think on that or hear about it, this was a spurt of the moment concept that I put together in the middle of a Calculus II course.

I am saying this, once again:

Based on 2k and 2k+1, the GCD is 1. Here, let me do it:

2k+1=2k(1)+1
2k=1(2k)+0.

This applies to all nonnegative numbers. And this is for positive integers, as in 1,2,3...n. So when we find the lowest common multiple, its ab/(a,b), in which a= 2k and b=2k+1. So the LCM is 2k(2k+1).

So what is your issue? Post a counterproof, something else. I guess i'm sounding overly harsh here, but suddenly you're dismissing the concept and i'm wanting to know the details and some sort of counterproof that works so I can retract the statement.

You don't need grad school for game design, no?
Not sure exactly what you're getting at. My point was that, at least in my eyes, an undergraduate degree is typically very general unless you intend to go to grad school – kind of like a high school degree. Coupled with the fact that you don't need a degree in game design to get in on the programming or graphic design or any other aspect of game design, that work experience and/or a more general degree such as computer science, which can get you a job elsewhere as well makes the specialization in something that could probably be more usefully turned into a double major or a major and a minor seem limiting.

I was up all night helping my dad make ornaments. If I ever see another bead again I'll puke.

Had a deja vu feeling recently when I was sitting at the dining table eating my dinner and hearing my parents talk and laugh about how my brother-in-law don't believe the things they found. Or it might not have been deja vu and my memory just suck. It could have been a similar experience from before but with different content.

And now, I have to study for a Physics exam next week.

I'll be asking my professor about that thing me and Rai have been going back and forth about. He'll probably help me see what i'm getting at etc.

Gotta prepare for a German speech tomorrow though. This class is killing me.

How many semijerk emails and amazing ideas do I need to send/bring up in class before this woman will realize that she's being a jerk in her "yeah no not changing anything, yo it's fine, y'all just aren't listening" every single time there's an assignment and nobody understands it/when it's due?

I've had no voice for a week. Seeing a doctor tomorrow to (maybe) confirm my suspicions that I have bronchitis.

Also I have to do some modeling for a class that I'm not going to in two hours. Then I have to finish a Java lab. And I have a midterm tomorrow. AND I'M GETTING NOTHING DONE BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE CRAP.

Might nap if I have time later. XP

Professor seemed to agree for the most part with what I put up and said I was going in the right direction etc. I think I saw some sort of hesitancy because I didn't make more examples, but thats about it.

I also asked what would happen if we found the GCD and LCM of two polynomials with differering variables, and he said he didn't really know off the top of his head but more or less said I should take a shot at it and see what happens. I'll do it later, because I want to relax. Speech tomorrow.
