Find, let's pretend your loved on is in a cage slowly being lowered by machine into a vat of lava. You can turn can hit the off switch, but it's electrified, and would kill you in the process.

Or how about laser sharks?

Who cares. Whatever contrived example you need to answer the question, make it up yourself.

If the electric shock is still available, then yes I'd sacrifice myself

offtopic, but in the second grade I turned on a lamp without a lightbub and stuck my finger where the lightbulb is supposed to go

Well it's probably not what Question states. It's a live-die/win-lose situation

so it has to fulfill these one of these requirements I guess:

1. You die to save your loved one

2. Your loved one dies for you
