QUOTE(aerozero @ Dec 31 2007, 03:01 AM) First off, are you building a new computer or are you upgrading?
If you're upgrading, list your specs, and whether you have an AGP, PCI, or PCI-E slot.
If you want the DX10 effects, you'll need a 8000 series Nvidia Video Card, or an ATI equivalent card.
... I guess you didn't read my post>_> I know shit about computers. I know I have a Alien Ware computer. It came standard, but with a better graphics card. I'll type whats on the box: 1) AMD Athion 64 x2 Processor 4000+ 2) 1 GB Duel Chennal Memory 3) 320 GB SATA ll 4) 7200 RPM with 8 MB Cache That's all i can give you: SORRY! P.S. I'm looking to update my computer aerozero. This post has been edited by Lord Rasler: Jan 1 2008, 01:28 AM

I'm sorry to say this Rasler, but you must have windows Vista to install directX 10, in addition with a super power graphic card. But you don't have to buy a whole new computer to play it. D.I.Y it.
Hmm, this game really need a LOT of stuffs to make it play, or else it will make the game stucked a lot, which is pretty annoying, and the worst of all, hang.
You can play this game with DirectX 9, but still, you won't get some of the game physics, (destroying stuffs, shades, KABOOOM!, and most importantly, the environment)
I think you might have to check your processor to evade problems while playing the game, because the game need at least 2.8 Gh.z or faster, (Dual core should kick this or Pentium D) Not sure about your processor though...
Hard disk is way to much, which is good.... 12 gig is nothing to your hard disk...
Also check your memory, or RAM (Random-Access-Memory) This game need about 1 GB of RAM, but I think the higher, the better.
Also, as what I said before, a BRAND NEW 256MB videocard that supports directX10 (All of them supports it, duh!)
Things that I think you might want to buy, depending on your computer....
VIDEOCARD, first priority. RAM, depending on your current RAM, a piece of 1GB RAM should do it.... Soundcard, optional.
Just crosses your finger that your current processor can bring this game up with all of those stuffs..... This game really choke our necks up. I won't dare to do this until heh, I'm working...
My computer? Nah, it could only play COD 2, after that, it's finished...... (Bought it when C and C: Generals was on the it's hey day...)
Hope that helps you....
