*Supports both the existence and length of this thread. And eats a cookie. And smites something evil. With the cookie. That I just ate. Not pretty. Fragment.*

Get an R4 first. Phoenix Wright ( 1st and 3rd are the best ), Phantom Hourglass, Pokemon D/P, Contra 4, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Cave Story, Etrian Odyssey, Megaman ZX / ZX Advent, Elite Beat Agents, FF XIII Revenant Wings, Archaic Sealed Heat, Metroid Prime Hunters, Hotel Dusk, Touch the Dead, ummm I'm forgetting a lot, I know. QUOTE From what I heard, Baroque will be, too. Sadly, Atlus debunked the FES claim by the VA guy, after the listing on his site said it, and just a few days before that they changed their status on FES to "No Plans". Hopefully he's right about Baroque though. This post has been edited by Chaos Seraph: Nov 29 2007, 08:33 AM

Luminous Arc wasn't very good, IMHO. Mediocre in every respect (except the art- It's a very pretty game). No balance, repetetive gameplay, hideous grind, cliche story, hit and miss character design. It's Hoshigami that sated my SRPG addiction.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker is made of total win. Breed monsters with pretty much any skills you want to beat up on other monsters to train up your beasties so you can breed bigger and badder monsters to beat tougher beasties. It's way to short for such an open-ended format, though.
From Seraph's list, I concur with the following: Phantom Hourglass (bit meh for Zelda, but it's still Zelda, and it ain't bad), Pokemon D/P (Same as the others, but different.), Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (I love that game. Portrait of Ruin's worth a look, too, but this one's better.), Megaman ZX / ZX Advent (Megaman never fails.)
I haven't played the others on the list.
I'd also add Meteos. It's one excellent falling block game.

QUOTE(Sauce XIV @ Nov 29 2007, 04:41 PM) I disagree completely. LA was a nicely done game. It could have been better, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game. I don't know what you mean by no balance. It's a SRPG; what would you expect for gameplay? I didn't have to grind when I played it. What with the whole "WE WORK FOR THE CHURCH WHO ARE SECRETLY PLANNING TO BASTARDIZE THE WORLD" thing that shows what religion can really do if it controls a country, I don't think it's cliche at all. "Hit and miss character design." Lolwhut? 95% of the characters look fine. The witches are superior to all.
1) The evil religion of doom is done to death. This is direct from the big list of 192 game cliches, number 89: QUOTE [b]Well, That About Wraps It Up For God[b] All major deities, assuming they actually exist and weren't just made up by the Church to delude its followers, are in reality malevolent and will have to be destroyed. The only exception to this rule is the four nature spirits who have preserved the land since time immemorial, but now due to the folly of mankind have lost virtually all of their power and need you to accomplish some ludicrous task to save them. 2) I'm not talking looks in character design. Almost all of them look fine/good. Even the manatee. But a character is more than a picture. I'm talking about how folks act. Especially Nikolai. +5 Character of One-Dimensionality. Most of the minor witches are about as bad, and the main characters... I really, really don't like them.
