Riviera debuted on the Wonderswan Color in 2002. Shortly afterwards the Wonderswan Color stopped production. Riviera was ported to the GBA in 2004/Early 2005. Shortly after the GBA started having a decline. Riviera was remade for the PSP. If we follow the trend, shortly afterwards, we can expect a fall of the PSP.

Quit acting like I'm pulling this out of my ass.

So the way to evade this from happening was to make a remake of the game on a platform that were cheap(N-DS) so many people can buy it and ALSO buy the game...simple!!

Warning:My English was a bit cluttered cause I was too sleepy....*yawn*

I don't find the battle screen that cluttered. And besides, maybe you could press like 'pause' and you could see the health gauges then rather then all the time if you feel it's too cluttered.

And cause the Nintendo DS to die? I don't think so. We need NeoGeo Riviera.

The theory that Riviera is a death sign of a system is ludicrous. Your theory is pure conjecture based on coincidences made on systems that saw Riviera's release a few years into their lifespan. That's like me saying Chrono Trigger is the same way, since it released shortly before the death of the SNES and was rereleased shortly before the PSX became obsolete.

I can find shitloads of these incidents. They are not concrete proof or logic, it's pure guesswork. The mere coincidence that Riviera's release coincided with the decline with a system is not evidence.

What do you mean by NeoGeo?? The old arcade one?

Why do you said that IF Riviera ported to a new system, it will spell doom to the system?? Is that a kind of curse or something....

Sauce, that claim is unfounded, baseless conjecture. Riviera was just put on a dying system both times, and time took it's course for the Wonderswan and the GBA The PSP will suffer a similar fate soon enough.

"Soon enough"? What the fuck? It's barely two years old.

Baseless or not, logical or irrational, I'm just stating what possible theories I know of. I'm not saying they're worth believing in, though.

Well, I didn't understand what sauce was saying before he explained himself. But my personal opinion is the Riviera curse is conjecture just as much as the Madden curse is (The Madden curse is surprisingly accurate at prediciting a single player who will have some sort of catastrophe befall them).
The PSP isn't a dying system. Hundreds of thousands are sold each month and there are new releases for it almost weekly.

I'd have to say the PSP might not be dying... But it seems close. For my last kind of off-topic comment here... It's a bit outdated (2006-10-02 to 2006-10-08) but...
DS Lite 124,137 4,983,903
DS 260 955,644
PSP 21,050 1,381,966

The first column is sales in that week, and the second is for the year.

Actually, that's a pretty good number for an introductory console.

Are you daft? Over a million sales in a year and it's dying? Compared to the DS, yes, the PSP isn't doing nearly as well, but that doesn't mean it's 'dying.' The PSP is doing fine, and the DS is doing exceptionally well.

Coming in first in a two man race is no achievement at all.

PSP to combat the iPod, not the DS.

Oh, if you look at it that way, then it's dying.
