Because any good player would use Revolution when the situation called for it, not simply when they can.

Well when they can use it would usually be when the situation called for it.

*blinks* Thanks for hiding the spoilers... I've read too many walk-throughs and wrecked too many games for myself. Yggdra Union is not going to be one of them.

I've been using unions, but I've actually found going solo has benefits too... so I just have to watch who I'm facing. Yggdra isn't quite as strong as Milanor or Durrant (or the undine I have now ^.^) but she's good when the tide of battle is in her favor. I'm guessing she'll get stronger over time as well...

Cards... since I JUST unlocked using the special moves, I'm still messing with them... basically I've been taking cards that have high ATK and a good movement range, since I haven't been able to use special attacks until right now. Also, some cards can only be used by certain people, and since I only have 4 units... well, I have to pick carefully I guess....

Yes, I've noticed there are items hidden on the ground, but I figure that I'll play the game twice through anyways... so I'm not too worried... the enemy has been stealing most of my items, but I'll strategize better on a second play-through (since there's an item collection like in Riviera, yes?)

BF7 has given me a lot of new things, but I'll get through it... in fact, I almost beat the first half, excpet I forgot that Yggdra was standing on ice... and... SPLASH!

If you use Yggdra and not ignore her early on like some people seem to do, she will be quite strong.

And enter the battle with very little Aggression.

Cards have no "ATK" stat.

It doesn't take very long to charge up your Aggression.

And it's pretty obvious she means POW.

So you have a crappy damage rate as you charge, instead of using a low MOV card and starting at max? And maybe even having a worthwhile, universal skill?

Just like it was pretty obvious she meant battlefield when she said chapter. She still needs to be corrected.

Yggdra's numbers will drop as you charge, so when you're done charging, assuming you started charging at the beginning, it won't be much longer before you can use Revolution. And whenever she used it in my playthrough, she usually won.

To me that seems to be the point of sending Yggdra into a skirmish with Revolution. To use it.

We were talking about general situations, when they CAN'T use the skill.

If they don't think they can use the skill, or it won't benefit them in any way, then they don't select the card.

I meant that as in, anyone with a brain can select a card if they're just using it to move. Only a decent player will select a card for strategic use and not just to get around.

I said that because Revolution has 10 MOV, and some might think "HEY HIGH MOV LETS USE IT TO JUST RUSH INTO BATTLE UN-THOUGHTFULLY"

Yeah, I've already wrecked this one because I read the spoiler tags and all.



I can honestly only think of one battle where going solo is actually better off than unioning, but you're far from that battlefield, and by doing that it takes you longer to complete the objective anyways.

And yes, Yggdra does get a lot better later. Actually, she can be one of the best units you have if you strategize well in the first few battles to get her some EXP. I'm sitting at about BF16 on the English version and Yggdra's just dominating right now. Of course I'm only throwing her against Axe and Sword users, as the Lance users I tend to face (Knights at the moment) seem to almost always win, but Yggdra has scored a few wins against them.


Some cards with low movement are a lot better than those with higher ones because of the skill they use. Such examples of this are Ace Guard and Mind Change, and Mirage has its uses as well.

Other useful cards because of their skills are Blizzard and Sanctuary. There are others, but you don't have them yet.



You'd be surprised. It may take me three playthroughs to get all the items because you can't get every single item in a single playthrough. And most likely the items the enemies are stealing from you are Medallions.



The first time I played this game (Back when I was playing the Japanese version), I thought that was a glitch. I even made a thread for it.

What's wrong with Revolution? Not the best card in the game, mostly because Yggdra just doesn't need it. But it has high movement and can come in handy when those stupid Knights want to run up on Yggdra when she's all alone. Even if you loose the clash, she leaves the enemy with one unit, so it limits the amount of morale she looses. Just my opinion...
