She might just act like that on the outside. Maybe on the inside she's lonely, joyless, and in desperate need of someone to love. I mean, she did give up her whole future just to be a Grim Angel, or at least she thought she was one. Wouldn't you be like that too, if you had nothing to live for but to serve an insane, ambitious reject of the Magi?
